Blondie and Pat Benatar will team up for 6 weeks on the "Call Me Invincible" Tour this summer. I just checked out tickets for the O.C. show and it's very reasonably priced.

I saw Pat at the same venue that they will play this year almost exactly one year to the day.
That show included Patty Smyth and Terry Nunn. All of them rocked.

Blondie's studio stuff sucks, but I saw them live opening for The New Cars a few years back and was pleasantly surprised. Good sidemen.

I'd definitely see Pat, her songs are great and Neal Giraldo is a great, great guitar player. I have a DVD of her from a few years back, it's good, although I don't care for some of the arrangements she used for some of her hits. Saw her play an acoustic show three or four years ago with the Cleveland Contemporary Youth Orchestra (of the Styx DVD/CD fame) and her voice was great. Didn't like everything being stripped down though, you need synths and electric guitars for her stuff.

It will be interesting to hear how well Pats voice has held up over the years. Never cared much for Blondie.

The show this year will be one week earlier, on the 26th of July. Can't wait. The Romantics are supposed to be on the bill also.

i took a date to see the romantics in '89 or '90.. Clorisa was her name.. Clem Burke from Blondie was the

drummer then, i was excited .. so we are drinking and hanging out with the band after the show.. 200 people cramped in a small club,

she gets me to buy her 2 kamikaze shots and 2 beerds,, i handed them to her and she handed half to Clem.. then he grabbed

her and took her backstage... it all happened in about 20 seconds.. i never saw her again!! i went home alone and put on

some food and watched Platoon .. :?

Never was much of a Blondie fan, but love Pat Benatar. One of the best female rock voices. One of my favorites of hers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FwkdavGoOQ

Wow...this sounds like a great tour. I noticed they were playing a few shows together several weeks back but didn't know that a full tour was in the works.

I hope a show is reasonably close to me.

I just got my Celtic fix for the year so I'm good on that score. My jones for Benatar goes way back to when I saw her at the University of Delaware many moons ago.
