We have been working hard over the last few months trying to put together some new features to help us give back more to our street team members.

One of these features is the most recently added View All Music Referrals section. When someone visits our site using your unique website address you receive credit for each song that they listen to. Currently there is no rewards setup for music referrals but we plan to add them in the future.

Another way for our street team members to earn cash is through the Earn from Bulk Purchases section. This section will allow our street team members to buy quantities of selected merchandise at heavily discounted prices. You can then sell any merchandise at a price of your choosing to friends, through stores or anywhere else and keep the profit for yourself. Through this section we have also setup detailed suggestions on how to get merchandise consigned through stores in your area along with other selling tips.

We would like to thank the street team members who have already started purchasing bulk merchandise. We truly appreciate the support; this has already helped the band to start expanding into other forms of merchandise. More information on this will be announced soon.

Overall the entire street team has really opened our eyes to how kind people can be. The amount of positive promoting going on, the amount of activity we have seen and the amount of support shown has truly been a moving experience.

Betrayer will be holding an online chat session on Thursday, May 27th, 2004 at 9:30 PM (EST). The entire band will be in attendance and everyone is welcome to join in. Attendees are welcome to ask the band any questions or simply just chat with who ever are online at the time. We will also be giving away a number of copies of Betrayer's debut album Rusted Icons to a few random people who are in the chatroom during this session.

In addition to a new chat session date we have completely recreated our chatroom system after receiving a lot of complaints regarding the old chatroom flickering when there were too many people online. The new chatroom is Java based so it might take a little bit to get in for the first time, but the overall performance increase is worth the extra trouble.

All the emoticons remain the same as the message board with a newly added option to disable them if desired. The new chatroom appearance is very similar to the old chatroom with the addition of a few new features including private queries.

To access the chatroom you are required to have an account on our message board. We would recommend signing up and testing the chatroom before the session date to ensure you will be able to get in without problem. Through the message board there is a register option that will allow you to create an account.

After signing up to the message board you can access the chatroom by going to the 'Community' section along the top navigation and then 'Online Chatroom'. You can also access the chatroom from any page within the message board while being logged in. In the message board there is a 'Chatroom' link located under the Welcome box that will also display how many users are currently chatting.

Betrayer is currently in the process of producing their first batch of t-shirts. The printing quality of the t-shirt will be comparable with other nationally signed metal bands. The t-shirt will be black and will consist of a modified version of the album cover on the front and the back will consist of the band's logo and some album related text.

Since this will be a heavy investment we are going to organize a pre-registration and pre-order process to help cover the necessary expenses, which in turn will allow us to keep the prices as low as possible.

For the pre-registration phase we would like everyone who is interested in purchasing a t-shirt to fill out an online form. The online form will ask for your name, your email address, your country, a suggested price you would want to pay, a method of payment you would use, the size of the t-shirt you would want and how large of a quantity you would need.

Once we have gathered this information we will be able to determine what type of quantity to order and what to set as a price. The larger the quantity that we order the cheaper our expenses will be, so we will be able to keep the price as low as possible. Once the quantity and price are determined we will set a release date and start collecting pre-orders.

Betrayer has completed recording the drums, bass and rhythm guitar portions for their upcoming three-song EP and will be following up with leads, solos and vocals within the coming weeks.

The EP will officially be titled 'Shadowed Force' and includes the tracks 'Partaker of Evil', 'Shadowed Force' and 'Burden of the Pacifist'. Artwork for the Shadowed Force EP is currently in development.

Being recorded at Spectre Sound Studios by producer Glenn Fricker, the new material is sounding amazing. Each instrument recorded thus far has a powerful presence and displays a unique dynamic to the mix, even in their premature and rough state. Fricker and Betrayer have worked to develop all new drum, bass, and guitar tones for the band, giving the recording a much better overall sound than any other material the band has previously recorded. The recording quality really displays the band's improvements musically over the past few years.

Betrayer will soon be collecting pre-orders for the EP. Currently, pressings for the discs are expected for October and an official release date will be announced within the upcoming weeks.

For this release Betrayer will be hosting an Online Listening Party. The Online Listening Party will allow people to preview the full EP from start to finish online through our chatroom before it is officially released. A date for the Online Listening Party will be announced soon.

We would recommend to anyone who is interested in attending the Online Listening Party to test out the chatroom in advance to make sure you won't have any issues accessing the chatroom.

Betrayer will be headlining the 'Rockfest Vol. 2' concert at O Nightclub in Windsor, Ontario on January 27th, 2005. O Nightclub is one of Windsor's top Nightclubs, featuring a large stage with a great atmosphere.

Betrayer will be performing with Lost Souls Division, Dreams Destruction and another band to be announced.

Doors open at 7:30pm and you must be at least 19 years of age to attend. Prizes will be given away throughout the night. Can goods will be collected and a portion of the concert's earnings will be donated to charity to aid Tsunami victims.

After a number of unfortunate delays we are finally ready to bring the new release into light and share it with you all. The EP has been demoed to a few select groups with overwhelming positive responses from them all – and we are very much looking forward to your reaction to the new material.

To launch the new EP, Betrayer has several news items that are noteworthy:

The 'Shadowed Force' EP and t-shirt are now available for pre-order through our online store. Purchases can be made using PayPal (no account required), cheque, cash, or money order. The new EP information is also listed under the 'Discography' section as well as the online store. All orders will start shipping on March 22nd, 2005.

Street team members are reminded that their orders and pre-orders receive a 20% discount. Buy in bulk and receive awesome savings – a great way to sell Betrayer merchandise to your local metal fans and make money for yourself!

Betrayer is also extremely excited to announce that we will have a global online listening party for the 'Shadowed Force' EP. To coincide with the EP release, Betrayer will also be running two great competitions exclusively for street team members.

The first contest begins February 15th, 2005 and will end March 22nd, 2005. The street team member that can generate the most pre-orders for the new EP and t-shirt will win a deluxe gift package in addition to the 20% cash commission or bulk savings they would normally earn. For example, if the top selling street team member sells 100 CDs they would earn roughly $200 in addition to the deluxe gift package.

The second contest will begin March 22nd, 2005 and will end April 26th, 2005. For each week of the contest, the street team member that generates the most song downloads from our media section will be entered in the draw for the grand prize. If a street team member places first for song downloads again in one of the other competing weeks, the street team member with the following highest amount of downloads will be in the final draw. Once the five-week period is completed we will draw one grand prize winner that will receive a deluxe gift package.

Betrayer will be performing at the 2005 Molson Indy's Grand Tuner Exhibition at the Canadian National Exhibition Grounds in Toronto, Ontario on July 10th, 2005. Betrayer will be performing as a featured non-competing band during the Supernova Entertainment's Battle of the Bands finals. The Molson Indy draws over 300,000 people each day.

The Grand Tuner Exhibition will feature sports cars from all over the world. Betrayer will be performing on a large stage within the Grand Tuner Exhibition. Tickets to access the concert and exhibition are $15. If you will be attending the race you will be able to get into the Grand Tuner Exhibition for free.
