Andrew,

Have you considered changing the rankings, especially the top one from "Manager of Van Halen" to anything else?

What other feedback have you received on this, if any?

I suppose we can't pick our own band when we make that level, hey? :wink:

Looks like you got your wish. All the managers are now question marks. I wonder which band you will be manager of, Suite? :wink:

I think at the time the ranking was made, the VH best of disc had come out.

I'm glad it's changing, although I'd prefer to create any ranking of my desire, not just a manager of a band.

Interesting about Van Halen and the timing. Didn't know that.

It would be nice if we could pick our own, but I understand.

It's interesting on this forum, we all come different parts of the world and we're all passionate about certain bands. It would be hard to choose one band to make everyone happy.

What band right now would be the top band to be the manager of? I wouldn't even know.

I agree, just let it happen - surprises are good.....and I thought the 'Manager of VH' thing was something more to do with Andrew's sense of humour......in relation to some long time board members, but I may be wrong. (Happens once or twice a year)

Sony/BMG has been responsible for alot of shite lately (Maybe this should be posted to the Rant forum)

But occasioanllyt hey do accidently sign a good new group.. I was very impressed with the elecro pop/punk 'Rogue Traders' CD, been a looong LOOONG time since I last parted with money for a CD from a SONY/BMG release.

The sooner they relise theres more people out there than just kids that would part with their hard earned cash the better (and I dont mean 6 monthly re-releases or remasters of old albums..)

Anyway, im probably waaaay off topic, so I end my rant here

I'm allowed to like some questionable stuff, but I limit what commercial crap I'll even consider buying

I think the last recent commercially released stuff I bought were some 'Live' albums. Anyway - I wont defend my opinion, the album was good, like a fine wine all the wine has to do is taste good to yourself and screw what other people think

But those who grew up in the 80's liking the hard edge of Punk which some really good acts came from would appriciate that punk isnt a common genre anymore - sure the Rogue Traders album is aimed at a wide market (Lets face it we're talking about a SONY/BMG signed band here, the same fuckwits that gave TOTO no support in Australasia at all.)

I love AOR/Hard/Melodic/Classic rock as much as the nest devoted true rock nut does, but I think theres a few of us out there that will asamedly not publiclly admit to liking something new - and thats cool, I'll buy whatever I wont feel uncomfortable playing in 10 years time - good rule to live by and hence also why I own all the TOTO albums, all the Queen albums all the Giant albums etc etc I even own a few albums by The Cure.. there I said it THE CURE

Anyway..

I think i've taken this thread a little out of the topic arena

Keep rockin' (And by the way, I said all the TOTO albums, thats true for all but one, Through the looking glass - dont even get me started on that...)
