Never had been to this venue and WOW, is this place great for a concert! I got in on the "artist presale" and scored 2nd row center seats.

SET LIST
Afraid of Love
Hold the Line
Falling in Between (Steve Maggiora - lead vocal)
I'll Be Over You
Keyboard Solo (X)
White Sister
Georgy Porgy
Pamela
Kingdom of Desire
Drum Solo
You Are the Flower
Waiting for Your Love (Steve Maggiora - lead vocal)
I'll Supply the Love
Home of the Brave
Rosanna
Africa

ENCORE
With a Little Help From My Friends

Being so close, a lot of what I heard was direct from the stage. For example, Luke's guitars were straight out of his amps and not the PA system for the house. Still loud, but not LOUD if you catch my drift.

Sput on drums... I'll tell you what. Luke made a great point about the list of drummers that have sat with the band, and how Sput is part of that legacy. Further to that were the numerous mentions of it being his hometown show. LOTS of his family members in attendance, including his mom. Tell you what, he has made TOTOs drum sounds his own while keeping with the tradition of the band.

Luke on Bobby Kimball... Lots of positive to say about Bobby during the show, including introducing Waiting For Your Love. I really think EVHs death has had a profound effect on him and he's made a point to make amends with Bobby.

John Pierce... FUCKING SLEEPER member of the band. His bass HITS!

X is X! The guy is so damn good.

Maggs straight out fucking kills the vocals on FIB and Waiting! His keyboard parts are so precise and clean.

Last but not least, Warren. Dude sings, many saxophones, congas, just crushes! Warren's hometown show as well, which got mass applause.

Luke was very talkative and he's having FUN! It is so evident and his smile is contagious!

We got a full set and Luke's comment about how TOTO isn't Journey in that TOTO likes to work made me laugh!

Really appreciate the review. Hope to see a solo TOTO show soon. Last one was Philly (with Steve P, Shem etc).
