From the main page.....
The Japanese are at it again! They have dusted off the vaults for another couple of re-issue gems - this time on DVD. However, other Japanese DVD releases have been touted in the past and then vanished without a trace, so be a little wary until release day.
First up - the utterly amazing concert release from Night Ranger's Midnight Madness tour of Japan - Japan Tour '83, which will be released April 16.
I wonder first off would the US Dvd players play Japanese DVDs? I know DVDs are region coded. But even so the price for this dvd would have to be real high. I have noticed bands like Damn Yankees, Dokken, and RATT getting previously released DVD in the US. Why is it Night Ranger can not get this to happen? Again Saga another of my favorite bands has 5 dvds…all available in the US. Saga hasn’t had the following that Night Ranger has. Honeymoon Suite has a dvd out. Yet no Night Ranger. Anyone know the answer behind this?
I am glad though that a dvd with the original band is going to be released. Probably would not buy one with the current lineup.
