I believe this is the first recording with Todd on drums although he is not credited.

That's what made me listen to the song. Todd was talking about it in an interview. Styx thought the song would require two drum passes. Todd said he could do it in one and amazed them. Though didn't Lady '95 come first?
FormerDJMike wrote:Yeah, Todd ghost played both songs. They had every intention of John coming back. I read an interview where Todd was talking about recording Lady 95 and how he used a ton of tape on his drums to give them a 70's sound. It is very sad that John was too ill to even record a studio track or two. I love the song and even remember hearing it on the radio when it was new.

So it would appear that between the time of recording the son of edge demos 1992? And Lady 95, John really went down hill health wise.

John wasn't even all that well during the Edge tour in 1991. Functional, but not at his prime.

I attended the Chicago show on that tour and John and his fiancé were married on stage during the concert.

Somewhere I do. Just moved to Venice Florida 3 weeks ago, so a lot of things are still boxed up.

Little Suzie or World Tonight?

FormerDJMike wrote:I remember on RockLine in 1990 all of them were on the show. They asked what everyone was doing and when they got to John they said "so what have you been up to?" and it was dead silent. I thought it kind of odd. Then he said "well, I've been practicing and my arms hurt for 3 weeks.... This is Chuck by the way" and they all laughed and then moved on. I also thought it odd that he got "help" during the drum part (on the tour) of "World Tonight" but it was also a pretty cool mini-solo from John.
FF to around 3 minutes. You really can't see but there were two other drummers there with John.
