He barely participated on the last 2 CD's, no songwriting credits, minimal lead vocals
Mission to Mars and Crash of the Crown sound like Tommy Shaw solo albums
Based on his current band participation it seems odd the negative things he has to say about Dennis, who's the team player now?

Let's say that everything you are implying is true. He is no longer interested in singing, he is no longer interested in writing, he is no longer active in the creative process. He is simply part of the business decisions and plays guitar in concert...maybe he doesn't even care about having a big part in the concert...he just shows up and does what he is told.
First off, I don't believe that is near reality...and people are just filling in blanks with conspiracy theories. But lets assume it is true.
Why should I care since I love the last two albums, especially CotC, Styx has had success with both of the last two albums, Styx is planning to record a third album...at the request of the label, and the last tour was very successful Why should I care if JY is backing off during this resurgence and success of Styx? Why do YOU care? If that is what JY WANTS and it is not having any negative impact on Styx, maybe even a positive impact, then I don't have a problem with it. I'm sure JY has his reasons for his actions, maybe it's his wife being ill...who knows? All I know is that Styx is doing very well right now.

"Why should I care I love the last two Styx albums." Hung by your own words proving you were never a Styx fan only a ball washing $haw apologist who wouldn’t care about anyone from Styx as long as your idol is there. Everyone on this site knows it.
JY has always voiced strong opinions about the way the music and business has been run. And publicly. Suddenly after Will enters Tommy’s world JY retreats in to the background looking like a beaten man without purpose. We all care because we wanted JY Tommy and Dennis together we are Styx’s true fans something you know nothing about.
People our age like me point out Tommy and his rewriting of history because he and $haw Inc. have kept our dream of Styx reuniting from happening. But that matters not to you.

I’m hoping with no Loverboy that Styx gets to really extend their set. I would love to hear Hold Back The Darkness, Save Us From Ourselves & Locomotive. I’m about to leave for my daughters apt & Houston, TX USA !!

Agree, I find it pretty amazing that he can take care of his wife while still preforming in every Styx concert. That is true dedication!
