From Dennis' Facebook Page and article link below.

Hey kids,

For Styx fans who astonishingly still care, I was honestly surprised by the reaction to my last post. It really got people talking which led to this interview.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one... that's a good title for this article or a greatest hits farewell tour. Maybe I’ll use it.
Anyway, give this interview a look if you find time it’s a good one and I thank Matthew Wardlaw of Ultimate Classic Rock for allowing me the chance to gather my thoughts together. He made me sound smarter than I am.

Haven’t we been here before? Could also have been its title seeing as how these are the same things I’ve been saying for the last 25 years.
That’s the good thing about the truth it’s easy to remember because it doesn’t change.

Thanks again Matthew

Cheers, Dennis

Yeah, his inability to move on with his life is legendary. It also seems his inability to underhand that others have moved on from the 25yr+ old bullshit has become part of that legend.

My God, move on with your life. NOTHING that happens with Styx nowadays involves you. Just because they can appreciate a song and their, and your, parts in its creation does not mean that they could ever perform with you again. What it DOES mean is they have moved on to a point that they can look back and appreciate their parts in Styx' past and be OK with where they are today. It is sad that you can't do the same nor can you recognize it in them.

This entire article is nothing but "poor me" crap that he has been repeated for over two decades. The only "new" thing in it is his feelings were hurt that the band can express their appreciation for "The Best of Times" and the fact that he only speaks to the band via behind the scenes third parties. Get over yourself...the band no longer revolves around you. That is the fact that truly hurts your feelings. They don't need you, they don't want you, and have washed their hands and want absolutely nothing to do with you.

Tommy has said that repeatedly...going as far back as the Dan Rather interview where Tommy tanks the idea of a reunion because he just wants to be happy and JY says, "Amen brother Tommy." https://youtu.be/LTflI7kkWl4?t=135

Styx with Dennis, Styx doing a reunion tour, Styx doing a reunion concert, is a Dead Parrot. Stop making excuses and claiming that it shows any signs of life. Just because you can bump the Styx cage and claim it moved does NOT mean that "Styx reuniting with Dennis DeYoung" has any life in it.

Agree 100%.

It fascinates me that Dennis repeatedly talks....and talks....and talks about preserving Styx' legacy. Sure, he wants to preserve its legacy-- but on his terms. If Dennis really wants to preserve the legacy, he should simply shut up. Every year for the past 25 years he has come out with a new interview in which he whines about how he wants back in the band, how they are ruining the legacy of the band, how his feelings are hurt, blah blah blah ad nauseum. Well, Dennis, your fate is of your own making. Get over it and move on! Plus, if he really wanted to preserve the legacy, he'd stop the annual interviews that rile up the fan base. How about gracefully accepting the status quo, putting everything to rest, and allowing the fan base to accept and enjoy all facets of Styx' music and legacy in peace? There's a thought.

Also-- reporters need to stop rehashing this over and over and over. Sterling Whitaker, on Facebook, noted that reporters are just as much to blame for continuing to fan the flames, and that's a valid point.
Sometimes it makes no sense at all.
