Styx live in 1997

Here's a crowd-shot video of Styx performing in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997. This show was apparently filmed with a 9 camera setup but likely got permanently shelved when Dennis departed the group. It was the first tour that Styx used lasers!

The crowd is absolutely ecstatic the entire time, singing along to almost every song... the crowd cheering "Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!" half the time... I'd love to see the video or hear the recording they made of it come to light but it's likely to stay in the archives forever.

Anyways, happy Sunday!

I have the Quebec City Show on DVD from 97. So there are a few boots out there.

Don't have Gown (Have the Audio though I believe of his Montreal and Quebec City Shows).

Nice!

I've got a partial audio bootleg of the first Styx concert I went to in 2000. I downloaded it through Napster but only had dial-up internet and it wasn't shared long enough for me to get every song... found it listed on concert bootleg websites many years later but never found the ability to actually acquire the files. Hoping to someday to get the complete recording!

Which show was that? There were some posted in 99/00 that were incomplete because the fellow's recorder died. I may even have one of those shows you are looking for!

October 12, 2000 - Kitchener, Ontario (Canada) :)

From what I could download (about half of the concert), I turned into a YouTube video https://youtu.be/eB0tqaj7aTQ

Let me find it and let me get back to you!

Oh man LuLu's! Home to the world's longest bar! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lulu%27s_Roadhouse

I wanted to go to that show so bad but LuLu's being a bar/club meant you had to be drinking age (19) to get in and I was a couple years shy. Then the place shut down in 2000.

Never been, but I think I also "ripped" the audio from Lulu's and put it on two discs. I guess I need to go digging for my CDR's when I get home from work today! :P

A fully edited show was never completed, but the monitor/multicam view is out there ...
