Dennis posted an update on his Facebook page on November 13th, part of his post he was talking about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that's the part that went viral.

If you're on Facebook, you probably have seen it picked up by many music and news sources, including NY Post, ET, Ultimate Classic Rock, Parade, People, Far Out, American Songwriter, AOL, NME etc. plus many classic rock radio stations. Wow!!!!

Hey kids,

I was visited recently by Larry Mestel, founder of Primary Wave; Adam Lowenberg, chief marketing officer and Jeff Straughn, chief branding officer. We had spoken over Zoom many times two years ago when Primary wave acquired the rights to my publishing and royalties. We’d been trying to meet for the last two years but circumcise’s didn’t allow. Sorry circumstances.

I chose Primary Wave after talking to several other companies because Larry and his team not only had the most prestigious roster but more importantly they were the nicest, most sincere of all. They were Styx fans for real.

At my home Larry asked me how I saw the future and what I wanted to happen next. I explained that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame would sure be nice. They agreed. One last Styx tour would also be great for our fans. They are acutely aware of that and naturally in favor of one. Raise your hand if you’re in agreement. Ooh that’s a lotta hands.
When the guys had left I told Suzanne that there could be no doubt that choosing Primary Wave was a great decision.

Speaking of the Rock Hall it’s a shame that Bad Company had to wait so long to get in that it rendered Paul Rodgers unable to perform due to health concerns. Bollocks!! I would have liked to have seen him perform years ago to demonstrate how one of rock’s premiere singers ACTUALLY ROCKS. You know, like the name on their institution’s logo. I have said this repeatedly for decades, just change the damn name.

The induction ceremony clearly pointed out the tragic manner in which this joint operates. Making so many musicians wait until they either incapacitated or dead is shameful. Joe Cocker, Warren Zevon et al are suddenly eligible decades after their success? Explain that, what’s changed except the Hall’s inability to let go of their clear prejudices and induct them? They now admit, when it’s far too late that they have erred. Have Joe, Warren and others recently become more popular? …no. The Hall’s initial mission statement about who qualifies was always a ruse and a joke concocted to protect their own personal choices. I’ll stop now before I need BP meds. I have said this before — as someone whose band has never been considered, whatever I write ends up sounding like sour grapes. ‘’Sour Grapes” would be a good name for a band.

Anyway it was good seeing these Primary Wave gentlemen and Nike should be thrilled, Larry and I have their shoes on and Adam has their shirt and Jeff said his Puma’s were cleaner than his Cortez’s or he would have worn them.

Cheers, The King of Cortez

Saw this. Dennis is spot on.

Summer Tour 2026 - Current Styx lets DDY pick out 10 - 15 shows around the country to perform with them. DDY performs his songs with LG on keyboards for some + backing vocals. We get Criminal Mind, Walrus, + 3-4 other current LG led tunes.

Glen & Ricky also are invited to perform in 5 shows. Make sense for Glen to do all his shows with DDY. Kiss Your Ass Goodbye & All In A Days Work + Yes I Can, Little Suzie and maybe even a Son Of Edge Of The Century song perfect sense here.

Styx buries the hatchet, the fans reunite, the band showcases all the talent past & present that have been in Styx. And for sure we get Dear John at every one of the DDY shows.

It’s a WIN WIN for everyone especially for rock & roll.
