Classic Rock Mag Review

Postby Chazz » Thu Apr 14, 2005 9:14 pm

The re-issue of Eye Of The Tiger review in Classic Rock Mag is really bad. They take the piss big time whilst having made the move to include all manner of punk etc to their pages.

Its becoming a bit like a new wave version of Saga - remember the Clash, oh yeah and Chelsea ??? I guess some memories have got mixed up as the advancing years go by, since when did old school Kerrang hacks write about The Clash ?

This was a classic commercial rock album and if some oik with a typewriter thinks its clever to slag the very sort of music that his magazine was built upon, then it just looks bad on the magazine itself.

I guess some writers have to focus on the unknown (ie crap ?) to sound trendy and in-the-know, whilst masters of their art are there to be knocked down.

Shame on you Classic Rock Mag

I don't really put all that much stock in other media outlet's reviews. Especially about albums I love.

I do my own reviews in my column, those are the ones that most concern me.

hi all...well, 2 of my favorite bands of all time are toto and survivor respectively, with journey right there as well...

most of the music I luv and did luv has been beaten and knocked around more than chicago cubs relief pitching!! lol

u know what I say??? FUCK THE MEDIA...
they only live for pissing off readers and creating scandal or hearsay to sell there article. Once more, they usually only like whats popular and usually its not melodic rock or anything like it...or jazz or other great artists doing there thing...

top 40 sucks..and mtv is a big long reality filled waste of space....

my advice, is fuck the media's opinion of some thing n just find out where are bands are playing, what there doing and when from these articles..otherwise, its just extra toliet paper!!

cheers n beers,

though not my favorite release by them its very solid with 4-5 songs I really really still dig!! NOT the title release...never was too fond of it.

luv "ever since the world began"..."the one that really matters", "hesitation dance", " I"m not that man anymore"...all are classics for me..and the bickler era is my favorite by far..though jamo is great also..can't wait for this new rockin release from them ..finally!!!!! :)

What anonymity levels of HTTP proxy servers exist?
1. Transparent - these proxies are not anonymous. They don't hide IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The task of such proxies, as a rule, is information caching and/or support of Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
2. Anonymous - these proxies don't show your real IP but change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy.
3. High Anonymous - these proxy servers do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxy server to host and look like real browser.

Is there a TIGER reissue? Haven't heard of it anywhere but this thread. Post the review somebody.
