I post all samples and there is NOT ONE post!
Just curious as to why...

Jimi could sing the McDonald's theme and it would be incredible. Thank you for putting the song samples up on the site, just my opinion but I think Gimme The Word is the chart topper of the bunch

Amen.
Amen to Paul (excepting the swipe at Generations. With Rolie at least, Journey had some track record with different Vocalists)
Amen again to 'Drew.
The FS vox should've been replaced by jamo overdubbing vocals. Reading between the lines in one of FS' last posts on the official site, Frontiers balked at the FS tracks b/c Jamo wasn't fronting them but lost out anyway....hell if label can't make it happen then as Andrew told me, they're in the can. This STILL should be, warts and all. a good good solid record.

I have listened to the CD 3 times now and I do enjoy it. It took a little getting used to JJ's "new" voice but it is clear and strong. FS sings well, I just don't see any "reason" for it. He doesn't bring anything different to the CD and JJ could have easily done the tracks. The middle slows down a little but the individual songs are pretty good. Only one or two on the disc that don't do much for me.
Overall, probably a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

This time I even liked "neverthless" which I wasnt too keen on previosly. Reach and FMS are excellent openers for the album and maybe one slow number could have been replaced with rocker but its just minor point for me and doesnt much lower my enthusiasm about the cd. And thankfully "Gimmie the word" has heavier guitars so it makes it different from other slow songs on the album.
Return to Survivor / Jim Peterik / Toby Hitchcock / Pride Of Lions / Marc Scherer / Sir Jimi (RIP)
