Jimi's REACH Interview:

Postby Red13JoePa » Wed Jul 05, 2006 12:58 pm

Didn't exactly tax your brain seeking incicsive answers did you Jamo?

Even in a scant conversation Drew was able to glean from JJ that no US release of Reach was on the horizon at the time of the interview. What about the Rocky 6 soundtrack?
Got some good comments in about Reach songs....but wow. Andrew had to pull teeth.

'Drew, I would figure the final go round for the Reach interviews would be Marc Droubay hopefully?

Given that neither interviewee seemed all that interested in chatting with you, I don't blame you.

Jimi's interview was friendly enough....just boring.

Frankie was tense, but cool I thought...still, that's enough for me for now!

Franklin was expansive where JJ was not, and at certain points you could read the tension between you two between the lines....... Good part is, for the future, I think it's gone and you two are cool.

I can't wait to read the John waite one you spoke of somewhere else.

I had the chance of meeting JJ at the Dyer County Fair. He was performing with the band target. Show was ok, but JJ keep complaining about the lighting on stage being in his eyes. Someone finally gave him a pair of their sun glass and told him to shut up and sing. After the show he went to the karaoke both and sang some songs for the people. that was better than the concert. But he never was very personable at either-ERIC

WOW..

Haven't posted in a while, but wow....

The more things change...the more they stay the same...

Here are a couple of my observations...

1. Scottie Brothers to blame?

Not so sure anymore...people ask, why didn't survivor ever bet bigger...well maybe they are to blame...i mean you can't blame scottie brothers for whatever this is...they finally get an album out and they cancel the tour, all the shows and I don't care what you guys say, JJ's interview...that was a disgrace...that's a great way to promote an album.....quote..."I don't know that was Frankie's thing"....then he goes on to say that albums are not even worth putting out...and he practically refused to talk about it...

Also, did you guys notice the disconnect between what he said about the two songs Frankie sung. Frankie.."Man JJ said you just have to do those, they are awesome with you."...JJ..."One he always sung and the other was crap (too pop)....

Yeah...Frankie and his brother Golden Throat......whatever....

2. As much as I'd love to see Dave back....

I would really hope if Frankie actually had the nerve to call Dave, Dave's answer would go much like the song "I Don't"...Read the lyrics...you'll know what I mean then...

Thanks and take care...

Yea, what in hell was THAT? My guess is the old 3 sides to every story adage. Frankie's, JJ's and the truth which lies somewhere in the middle. FS seems fond of the hyperbole.... JJ was incredibly aloof regards to the present.
