Styx without Tommy Shaw???? Dennis DeYoung was Styx and he is gone. Tommy wasn't even an original member...they had a couple hits before he came on board.

I agree with Angus and Tom Scholtz.....other than that I don't see it. Another obvious choice is Eddie Van Halen. I believe Steve Perry could front a version of Journey without Neil....but Journey needs one or the other. I believe there are guitarists out there that can duplicate Frankie's sound. Say you have all four of the original Survivor guys.....Survivor would be just as good as they are now in my opinion. Or even Jimi with the Vital Signs lineup...minus Frankie. I guess you guys and Frankie all have big inflated heads over his value.....and enjoy his 20 minutes guitar solos.

Frankie being the constant for Survivor when it comes to the guitar, that's already value regardless if someone copied his style (reiterate FRANKIE's style). That guy would be consider a copy I WILL NOT even consider Survivor without Frankie. I wouldn't even care if supposing Peterik came back and got a replacement for FS. Im sure if you asked Jim that question Survivor without Sullivan, Jim would probably tell you to forget it.

Speaking of solos. Did you hear what FS said about it? He said the guys would make him do it alone and it was just horrible to be left like that.

so imagine going to a conert where JJ is singing Survivor tunes and the lead guitarist is awful. The Survivor songs don't sound like Survivor. Sounds like a bar band. I would have preferred JJ sang acapella. Seriously.

Slander, you're a good dude but I can't stop giggling at what happened knowing what I know of you. You hike half a day and the worst possible thing for you happens.

God bless you... :D

what can you do? It was just one of those days. At least I got to visit some friends on that side of the state. I emailed both Survivor and Robin. Robins webmaster emailed me and said he would find out what happened. By the way I spoke with Jimi and he was very nice but really wouldn't comment on the whole thing. Hey did you catch in Frankies latest note that they were in the studio? Could it be for Rocky Balboa. We can only hope.

Yea, I hope they're overdubbing McCauley on FMS and Reach's title track for submission to the film company.

Hey, when you talked w/ DoubleJ did you get any drink-pouring jokes in? :D

actually jopa he told me that he plans on more touring and the nightclub thing isn't really something he's pursuing. He said he also is working with gibson guitars on promotion. It was a quick but informative conversation. He had nothing bad to say about the band other than it just didn't work out. By the way we should get a survivor chat room.

Well, there was also talk that they wanted to get a new CD out. So it could go either way. But I did notice the talk was specifically about Robin laying vocals...so maybe it is to music that has already been recorded!!

Get in and go to by a shirt, and they all say The Lou Gramm Band. I looked at my wife and said "this ain't good". Not that it wouldn't be a good show, but was talking about trouble in the Foreigner camp.
Show was ok...Lou struggled on some songs, but by the half way mark, he got it together, and the place started to rock. was too mad about the false advertising, and I only lived about 20 minutes from the place they played, but if I had drove a long way....-ERIC

They billed Lou Gramm as "Foreigner" in 2005 (Daytona show), even had the new promo pic of Foreigner with the new lineup.
