GREG LEON Starts Work On New INVASION album; Re-Teams With SURVIVOR Drummer - Mar. 2, 2006
Southern California guitar legend/vocalist Greg Leon (ex-DOKKEN, QUIET RIOT) has started work on a new studio album, tentivately titled "Stormbringer". Joining Greg Leon on the follow-up to last year's "Unfinished Business" (Leon's first record under the INVASION banner since their cult classic 1984 debut) are bassist George Roelke (ex-SHOUT, BRAND NEW DAY) and veteran drummer Marc Droubay (SURVIVOR), who has stepped in for Greg Stevens. "Marc did the WISHING WELL record with me back in 1997 and it's a real pleasure to have him back in the saddle for this album", enthuses Leon. "He came up to my studio a couple of weeks ago and we started jamming and had an absolute blast. Marc is such a great drummer — it's like having John Bonham Jr. pounding away behind us, and the new songs are sounding even better now. I think this could very well turn out to be the best INVASION record yet."

"Stormbringer" is scheduled for a late summer/early fall release on a yet-to-be-determined label.

Was Greg Leon a vocalist with Dokken and Quiet Roit? Don't remember Dokken without Don Dokken.

He was a guitarist before george in dokken.

I have Wishing Well, a project that Marc and Greg worked on a few years back. Marc gave me this cd, it's really good. I'm not sure you can buy it now or not.
