Cool. Have to wait until the very end, but it's nice to hear, anyway.

Thanks for the post!

Is this an official trailer? If so, then I'd say it's suddenly looking promising again for the Reach material getting in.

Why would you think it looks promising for Reach material if they seem content with pulling out EOTT yet again?

An acknowledgement of the band. Maybe it's not promising, but it looks better than it did 3 days ago before this new trailer w/ Eye came out.
If nothing else, then Eye has an association.
Hell it should have Eye, Burning Heart, at least pieces of them AND Fire Makes Steel.

Did we ever find out if it was an official trailer?
I see your point that at least Sly would be acknowleding the band. I gotta admit, how cool would it be for EOTT to begin and when it gets going find a way to merge it into FMS?

yes, it is officially sanctioned.
So they had to get management's ok for Eye I guess, at which time I hope they said, "We still look good for the Reach material, right?

Hey JOPA,

I agree with you. Frankie etc had to be contacted. As I have said all along everybody needs to chill out. Not only that maybe FMS won't appear in the movie but it could be on the soundtrack. If you watch ROCKY 4 again, you'll notice Burning Heart was not played start to finish. It was sampled through the scene where Rocky arrives by plane in Russia. What is my point? That people don't know what they are talking about! LOL. You're a good man jopa. By the way how is the real jopa? Is he going to coach this week?

Well, if there isn't a Survivor song to be found then we still have hope for Rambo IV http://under-my-hat.blogspot.com/2006/11/on-sly.html

Yeah, but it´s hard to chill out because this is probably last Rocky movie so it´s a major setback if they are not included. Like Jrnyman said in another thread Survivor can make it back to the limelight with hard touring but this could save them so much time.

I think if they got w/ Sly and it were SOLELY up to Sly FMS would be in slam dunk, no ?s asked.
Now, we are dealing with Sony the studio, I think, and might they rain on the parade and forbid a so-called unhip band like Srvr from being part of it? I don't know.
If that were the case, though, it'd be better than the band and Azoff mgmt not even ATTEMPTING to push the issue.

Survivor not in Rock Balboa

Postby RobG » Fri Nov 24, 2006 11:54 pm

Hey guys:

Haven't been here for a while. A friend of mine saw the world preview of Rocky Balboa. I was told and heard from another source that none of the Survivor songs are in the movie. Someone that Jimi talked to had told me he said their songs weren't even in the running for the movie. Disappointed.

Also:
Did you guys see these: What do you think? Has this been where everyone's been hiding?

If you guys already knew, sorry. I haven't been around in a while.
