Says it on Wiki-damn-Pedia that Reach and FMS were in consideration for the movie.
The band had postings intimating the same.

Yet we, and SurvivorFan2005 in particular got scolded by some "insider" on the boards a while back for wondering what happened with this.

It's ok though, if you think though, the band only stated that Reach had found a new home... That could have infinite possible meanings such as Survivor being signed to Frontiers in leu of the release. The band never did claim "publicly" and "specificly" it was going to be on the movie. Another point to make is that almost right after the album was released Jamo was released from the band, there could've legal or some other issues there. I just don't understand why members (then) like JJ and FS told me that it was likely.

It's ok though, we can still hope for some miracle. I still blame the band for la bad job of promotion of the band in general. I mean come on, has anyone purchased any Survivor merchandise lately?

That Frankie posting was made after Reach was released on Frontiers.

Unless he was talking about a US release for the album, which was never imminent, he meant the movie.

Or else what the hell DID he mean if as the poster said, Fire Makes Steel was never intended for Rocky Balboa.

I had heard Jamo left around Xmas 2005 /jan. 2006 ish when his deal was up. he only did the other gigs in 2006 for the $$$ and why not? The guys' gotta eat lol.

[/b]Personally, I will give Frank a mulligan if he's workin on new material now for a release this or next year and for the new setlist for the new Survivor shows coming in spring/summer/fall 2007.

Music first! I'm sure there will be new swag from them coming once everything else is in place.

Given the detatched tone of his Reach interview here with Andrew (after you have the contract expiring), I'm not surprised.
