Isn't about time we hear Robin when we click over to the band's website? I would love to hear Robin singing EOTT. What do you all think? It's time to move into the future.

I don't know. I have mixed feelings. I think a huge chunk of the fan base wants to hear Dave sing EOTT and Jimi sing I Can't Hold Back, not Robin doing the classics. New fans of the new Survivor might like to hear Robin, but maybe stuff like Fire Makes Steel or stuff that is not so 'branded' by the original vocalist's signature sound.

Problem with any of these "classic" bands is that moving into the future alienates the fan base that is stuck (and happily so) in the past.

I think maybe a balance?

The first time I ever went to survivormusic.com I was kind of irritated that it was Robin doing the updates and such, because I didn't know him and he had nothing to do with Survivor as far as I was concerned. And I was still trying to figure out what drama had transpired that made Jimi leave the band and Frankie not talk about it, so to see some interloper posting as if he owned the band kind of got my hackles up.

Drum roll please. I do have a criticism of Frankie and the band. They need to keep their fans posted on a more consistent basis. The website should be a promotion tool not a chore. Just my thought.

Slander, I can't resist.

When you are working as hard as those guys you just don't have time to update a silly webpage.

all of them.. They need to get there asses posting a bit more! Something Frankie used to do but not anymore. Marc, Robin n the guys all need to chime in there from time to time.
