if you tune in right now you can catch it. He's live, doing what Survivor did a few weeks ago.

Singing Bat Out of Hell. God I love that song! Even though Meat is NOT what he used to be. I paid $90 to see him in concert last month and I loved it even though he sucked. LOL His band and backup singers were amazing.

His voice is NOT what it used to be. Beyond him just not being able to hit the notes, he does this really annoying thing where he just sings in his own timing and it must drive the backup singers NUTS. If a note is meant to be held for say four bars, he'll hold it for five and then weirdly put in the next line in odd timing.

But it's the bum note city that is hard to handle. And I'm a HUGE Meat Loaf fan. HUGE. I would say Bat Out of Hell is one of my top five albums of all time, for sure, and For Crying Out Loud often is my #1 favourite song of all time. But he's not aged well, I'll tell you that.

I saw Meat in concert 4 years ago with Cyndi Lauper. Terrific Show. Meat is a great show. He is a rock n' roll original. I'm glad he is still around.

Monty...

I think I remember on here one time you saying that you were a big Jim Steinman fan? I wonder if you ever had a chance to see his play "Dance of the Vampires"...that was set to his music a few years ago....It's feature song was actually Total Eclipse of the Heart, but there were quite a few spinoff tunes from Meatloaf on there as well...

It featured Michael Crawford and it did not stay on long, but was great (IMO). It has played in Europe for years...

Yeah, I'm a *HUGE* Steinman fan. I will never forget when I finally put two and two together and clued in that all my favourite songs from all time were pretty much all written by him. HA! My friend went so far as to make me a Best of Steinman compilation that included stuff like Boyzone (British pop stars) and Barry Manilow's "Read Em and Weep" and I loved every single song it as she knew I would. Steinman can do NO wrong in my books, and if some two bit shit act released an album of Steinman material and charged $100 for it, I'd gleefully pay it because I know I'd love it. LOL

Actually, I will tell you my deepest darkest secret. My all time greatest fantasy is singing with him. Rolling around on a piano while he plays and an orchestra backs us up. Yeah. I have diva dreams. Sad but true!

No, I've never seen that play. I wish I had, though. :)
