you are right about that....i know it's one side, but the way they treated Michael Anthony and even Sammy...Sammy saved that band...MA was there the whole way...

I can't beleive the way they through it all away...

Of course Sammy was no peach to his wife either it seems...

You're kidding with this, right?

In a thread about lead vocalists, you gotta be absolutely shitting me with this, right?

I don't really care for Nevertheless. Although I like the lyrics. Talkin' Bout Love I think is a Survivor classic. Frankie puts his own touch on it. I for one hope he sings a couple of songs on the new record. Just a couple. It's a nice change of pace.

 Oh, No, please not! Talkin´bout love was a positive surprise but Nevertheless and when you remember Frankie´s Solo on You know who you are were not really good ...

What's wrong with Talkin' Bout Love? Also I think he gave You Know Who You Are a Crosby Stills Nash feel. Very different for Survivor. My god people have a friggin open mind from time to time. I'm sorry every song in the Survivor catalog doesn't sound like The Search Is Over. There's nothing wrong with doing something different from time to toime.

YKWYA is bad (though I DO enjoy that vocal harmony bridge by FS), but Hungry Years is badASS.

There´s nothing wrong with that song. Like I wrote it was a positive surprise after Nevertheless and Frankie´s Vocal on YKWYA. The Song is good and also (on this Song only) Frankie´s Vocals.

And for YKWYO: It like this Song too. But not Frankie´s Part

I dig YKWYA because I think it is the single most unique piece of music Survivor has released as a single.

Hungry Years is so underrated. Frankies guitar is at its best. I love the bluesy feel to it. I would like them to do more of this.

ROFL... How about two different polls... the best of the Jamison years and the best of the Bickler years?

how is this a poll??

Postby lukather4prez » Wed May 30, 2007 12:00 am

Since when ever did JP or Sully ever front this band vocally??? there both backing singers and Frankie is a harmony (high tenor usually) and backing singer and only sung lead on 2 songs for the band minus a line here or there. (though very good sounding mostly).

There have been 2 lead singers in this band that did records n tours ..the original ..the man Mr. David Bickler and then Jimi Jamison.

McAuley hasn't recorded an album yet he doesn't count. (sorry Robin).

For me Jimi was/is a great singer but Dave is the shiizzzzzz nit. by far for me.

As long as each of those 5 sung Lead Vocals on seperate Songs (JP on Love has got me from the first Album) for me this Poll is quite nice. :P
