Red, I might rather hear MSG than to have to ever again hear Frankie play 'Lies' in concert...ehhhhhh...

of course, let's be honest, if FS would just cut his elongated guitar solo in half, we could hear five more Survivor songs, three from MSG and they could probably play a double rendition of Freebird....

Concerts need not be all about hits, and if you want to MAKE it all about hits but find yourself reaching to other bands' so called "hits" to ensure there are enough, then you're precariously close to declaring Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in the hits department.

Red I'm going to give you a pass for not having a clue about MSG. Do you even know who Michael Schenker is? Only one of the best axemen of all time. Chapeter 11? Mcauley Schenker Group had a nice following back in the day. Sorry you are wrong on this one. Perhaps other members of the board can educate you.

You have no idea who the hell Michael Schenker is? One of the best axemen in the biz. Here you
go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Schenker

Quite frankly I'm a little miffed you guys are so quick to put down something you know nothing about. I know you guys are better than this. Maybe our buddy 7 can chime in on this. He may hate Michael Schenker but I bet he knows who the hell he is.

In a way I hate to even post this because I don't want to offend anyone, and I would like to keep things civil with everyone on the Survivor board! :)

Michael Schenker is one of the greatest Rock guitarists in the world, I don't hesitate to say he's in the top 20 of all time.

The MSG song "Anytime" was a big hit song.

Robin Mcauley was great for MSG and is a pretty good singer overall. He is NOT my first choice for Survivor. I would prefer either Jamison or Bickler, but I can pretty safely say thats never going to happen again.

Some other good choices would be Kevin Chalfant or Joe Lynn Turner.

When I spoke to Peterik last August I asked him what he thought about Mcauley being the new singer in Survivor, and he said that he thought that it will be good for the band and that Mcauley is a really good singer.

As I said I would prefer Jamison or Bickler, but at least Mcauley is helping to keep Survivor alive and kicking. We will probably be getting a new Survivor album in 2008 which we probably wouldn't be getting otherwise. Mcauley is improving on a constant basis, and he seems like a really nice and friendly guy who is also a great showman on stage.

We can't make Jamison or Bickler go back into Survivor, and we can't make Frankie take either of them back either, so I wish people would start backing Robin Mcauley more than they have so far!

I do appreciate Robin Mcauley for helping to keep Survivor alive, and I want to thank him for it too!

Finally....

I would like to express my desire that we all keep the Survivor forum civil and respectfull of each other!

In the last year the Journey forum has been ruined by loud mouth obnoxious people and it's really no fun to visit anymore.

The Journey forum has been hijacked by one particular nutjob and the insane cult that he has built around him. This nutjob contributes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING positive to that forum and has only caused problems. He claims to be a fan of Journey and then does nothing but try to destroy the band.

In the past if I had been asked which band has classier fans between Journey and Survivor I would have said it is a tie. But in the last year on this site I have very sadly had it proven to me that Journey has a lot of obnoxious and childish fans.

That is certainly NOT to say that all Journey fans are that way, people like myself and Red13 are Journey fans and I know there are still tons of great Journey fans, but sadly not many of them post on this website.

Just like I said about Jamison and Bickler with Survivor, we can't force Steve Perry, Steve Augeri or Jeff Scott Soto to be in Journey, and we can't make Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain take any of them back either.

The constant childish tantrums that SOME people are having about the fact that Steve Perry is no longer in Journey or that Jeff Scott Soto is no longer in Journey are ruining the Journey board almost as much as the nutjob cult leader does.

I beg of you please do not let that kind of childish crap go on on the Survivor board!!!

If Michael Schenker is that good, it going to be VERY interesting how FS will do the chops.

With regards to the perversion (hope Im not breaking any cardinal rule here by saying that) of the Journey board, I think we are smart enough not to go that route.

Well, I intentionally listened yesterday to "Anytime" by MSG to see if I thought Sullivan would have any problems with it, and I don't see him having a hard time playing any of the guitar from it.

What has happened on the Journey board should have never been allowed to happen! It could have been nipped in the bud right of the bat, but a blind eye was turned to the problems that nutjob was causing and it has ruined the Journey forum as a result.

It will be a pleasure to hear Robin and Sullivans songs from Business as Usual as well. There are some great tracks that could be re-recorded and put on a new disc. This is a very exciting time. A signal that this band isn't stagnate! Rock on.
