He worked with the Scorpions (the Band of his Brother Rudolf), with UFO and he had/still have the Michael Schenker Group. For a short period he worked together with Robin McAuley as the McAuleySchenkerGroup.

I remember a show review when the author wrote after a Schenker and Joe Satriani gig that Satriani didn´t played him against the wall, he nailed him.

My opinion is that Michael is a good worker but there are a lot of better guitarists. Of course I´m proud as a german (or like Red would say "Kraut") that we have such a caliber like Schenker but I wouldn´t call him a "legend" or "god".

Hey guy whatever makes you feel better. If you have to tear down go ahead.

Do you like each and everything an artist is doing? I prefer to have my own opinion and I have no problems to tell.

You don't have to like each and every artist it would be nice if you recognize the talents. I don't have to like Picaso but I recognize he's one of the greatest painters ever. Schenker is one of the most influential guitarists ever. Sorry but that's the truth. To refer to him as a hard worker is a nice slam on your part.

Maybe I took the wrong words (hard worker) to describe and like I wrote he is on a high level but I for my part don´t rate him so high compared with others.

He has influenced other great guitarits. Why would I expect you to rate anything Robin is associated with as something special. Wow what a bias. Objectively he is a great guitar player.

You mean "other" hard workers like Def Leppard and Metallica who he has influenced. This is nonsense.

I'm not always right but I will say that I hold my thoughts when I don't have the facts. I'm tired of you guys using the band or anything associated with it as a pinata'. I'll be honest I just don't get it. I wish we could all celebrate the rebirth of this band.

Well Slander I for my part will celebrate. I will go to several shows in Germany. But sometimes you see everything as a personal afront against the current band which it is definately not. When I don´t agree that Michael S. is a god (I saw him several times in Germany and I don´t like him and that is just my opinion) it has nothing to do with Survivor.

Why don´t we just focus on Survivor? Wouldn´t that be better?

I agree. I don't think Schenker is god either. He seems like a person prone to self destruction. Many great artists are that way. I want to focus on the current band. Michael Schenker was brought up because others on the board were down playing Robin's credentials. I want to educate them on Schenker and MSG. That was the only reason Schenker ever got brought up. I look forward to reading about your concert going in Germany. I myself am going to 2 shows in August! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
