I bought this cd last night. Was out doing Christmas shopping and swung by Walmart and got me my copy. Was goig to about a month ago but Walmart did not have it. I think this is a great cd considering. Considering how hard it is for a band to recapture it's magic after 20 years. I think they did a really good job with making an 80's record. You are right the sound is a little updated, but still updated in a good way....and still very good. One thing kinda erked me a little....was that on the cd it says Vocals Mike Reno and Paul Dean. I don't know who Paul Dean thinks he is but he should not be given equal credit on vocals.......he is barely present on backing vocals.
As for is this as good as Get Lucky and Keep It Up. I would say after two listens...no not that good but still very good. It is as good as any of their other cds though. In some respects this cd reminds me some of Keep It Up.
But this cd is definitely one you gotta thank the band. THey tried to give the fans what they want. They did not say 'We have been there done that". Also, they have some free downloads available including a bonus track. And the cd is only $8.50! This is a cd for the fans. You get that from reading the liner notes also.

Rock I'm so glad you liked it. I hate to recommend something and have someone not like it. I'm going to see the guys play Saturday night. I've seen them twice in concert and Reno's voice is great live. Anyway I hope someday we will get a similar effort from Survivor.
