Firewood - The "Tiger" Guitar

Postby FalconONE » Thu Jan 10, 2008 1:03 am

"Brownie" (Fender Stratocaster) was the guitar for Eric Clapton in the recording of his anthem "Layla".
"Lucille" was for BB King.
"#1" was for SRV

Frankie once told be that "Firewood" was the nickname given by Jim Peterik to the guitar used on the recording of the "Eye Of The Tiger" song album version.

Joe, Can you get info from Frankie next time you see him about that guitar ?

If he still has it, still plays with it,...

Thanks!

By the way.. "Firewood" is a Gibson Les Paul.

So "Tiger" was recorded by a Les Paul.
I don't know the year, the finish of the guitar and if Frank still has it or/and use it.

I don't know what kind of guitar was used for the palm mute part of tiger..
