Jimi Jamison Eye Of The Tiger??

I read in a recent interview that he was upset with Frankie Sullivan about the use of his vocals on this track without his permission or compensation. Does anyone know if this studio version, featuring Jimi on vocals, has ever been released?

I know that this version was featured in "Kicking And Screaming" a few years back....and I know there's a version of "Eye of the Tiger" on the soundtrack to that movie (along with Queen, Chicago, and some others) but to be honest, I can't find where I put those tracks to tell you if it is, indeed the Jamison version and memory fails... Anyone?

Eye of the Tiger with Jimi on vocals is on a compilation CD called "NHL Rivals 2004:Xbox". I just checked Amazon.com and several of their 3rd party sellers have copies for sale, if interested. Several good classic rock tunes on there.

I have the version of Jimi Jamison on vocals.. They should have re-cut this song back in 1985 . The music is different and not as powerful as the original. Jimi did a nice job on it . It should be remastered and louder .. 1982 version is much better .. You really can't make it the same without all the original players of the band.
