Everyone knows that true leader of Survivor is, was and will always be Stephen Ellis and his alligator. Face it guys, since Ellis left...name the hits the band had? Heck, name the hits they had prioir to Ellis? ...................what's that sound? Crickets chirping...this is Ellis' band and that's just the way it is.....

Oh come on, it was original drummer Gary Smith that made the band the success that they became.
In all seriousness, Stephan Ellis is a damn good bass player, and I wish he was still in the band.
Gary Smith was a good drummer too.
So what's the story behind Stephan and the alligator?
A friend of mine who used to like to make fun of Survivor used to make jokes about Survivor's bass player being "The mastermind behind the Sensational Alex Harvey Band." It was some strange joke that seemed to amuse him and him alone.
