Survivor - Live In Japan '85 [Koseinenkin Hall Tokyo] DVD

Postby FalconONE » Sun Feb 10, 2008 3:52 pm

Before doin' a great dvd with the Survivvor line-up of 2008.
I think It would be cool to get a GREAT re-release of the Live In Japan '85 in DVD.
It was released first in VHS then in Laserdisk in Japan.

If Frank & Jim do the job of the "remastering" of this show; I think it would be a nice choice.

I hope they will include finnally the "See You In Everyone" performance (remove from the VHS and DVD, but featuring on both the MTV show feature and the Survivor : Extended Versions: The Encore Collection
and the "It's The Singer Not The Song" performance (remove from both the VHS and DVD, but can be found on Melodicrock.com MR-X access)

Here the Setlist:

Live In Japan [Koseinnenkin-Hall – Tokyo] 1985
Singer: Jimi Jamison

Feels Like Love – Broken Promises – High In You – Popular Girl - First Night – Is This Love [Demo]> I’m Not That Man Anymore – Search Is Over – I Can’t Hold Back – Caught In The Game - Eye Of The Tiger – Singer Not The Song – See You In Everyone

Please Joe, ask Frank to re-release this MASTERPIECE.
Thanks

Don't find "it's the singer not the song" on Mr-x access  ?
Am I too late or Andrew will put this song soon?

I remember that - I added the 2 songs fromt he original show that the CD didn't feature. Now what bleeding asswit record label dodohead decided that 2 less tracks on a CD with room for 30 minutes of more material would be a good idea?

I only have the MTV version. I've had it for over 20 years now.
Back about 20 years ago I looked into ordering the VHS tape, but it would have cost over $100.00 at that time, and I was only around 16 to 17 years old at the time, so I didn't have money growing on trees.

Just a few days ago, for the very first time, I watched their performance of "I'm Not That Man Anymore" from that same show, I watched it on Youtube.

I'd love a great looking/sounding full length version copy of that show.

Andrew, if you have time.. can you ask Frankie or Jim
If it's still possible in a near future to get FINALLY a real great DVD of this show with special features..
I still think they (frank, jim, jimi, stephan and marc) are still proud of this performance that night of those nights in Japan in 1985.

If Survivor released their first DVD concert .. I think it should be the Japan '85 Concert First.

then.. a mix from 78-2006
then a third dvd with the current Tour.
