Asia is owned by all four original members .
I am certain though that Peterik and Jamison don't need this to happen .
It makes no sense not to make as much money as possible doing what you love doing.
I am a huge Eddie Money fan .. I wonder what happened with his long time keyboard player Randy Forrester ? I am sure it has been hard for Chris Grove to make a living just playing in Survivor unless he does other things on the side. Eddie has a huge live following and Grove will get plenty of work.. It will be interesting hearing him on Eddie's top 10 hits like Take Me Home Tonight , I Wanna Go Back & Walk On Water .
I am excited about it..
Never will happen. Can't say much on here, but suffice to say in short order all will become clear. JP and Jimi together have a "piece" of the intellectual side of the Survivor Brand. As a brand with bands you think of the name first and then 90% of the time think of the singer. No one outside of Chicago thought of JP when they thought of the brand Survivor. That is not a knock on him at all, he was a huge part of everything that was Survivor back then.....however, they thought of the Singer (Jimi) and then Frankie. They were the upfront guys. JP never had this with his tenure with the band. He was the keyboardist in Survivor and back then no one really noticed. In THIS community after 1996 people noticed, but by then the band was a tenth of what it was in popularity and pop culture status. JP played Survivor tunes, and still does, at every show he plays. However, as far as Survivor goes, and as far as the masses goes, JJ and FS are who they would mentally link to the name Survivor. Now that JP has aligned him self with JJ he has some street cred while playing the Survivor catalogue because he has the original singer of alot of those hits (just not the singer of their biggest hit)....whether they sound as good Survivor while doing them means nothing....it is JJ singing Survivor tunes with an original member....this will benefit both of them, but JP more....
JP doing the Survivor catalogue with the Ides, or POL, or World Stage, or solo will never ever be as potent as when he is doing them with Jamo up front...it's a good business move....
And as far as Jamo's voice getting in shape, give Jamo all the credit on that one....as a singer I know that in the end only YOU can change how you treat your vocal chords.....and it sounds like Jamo has done all the right things....I give him kudo's and complete respect for that....
There is absolutely no reason for all of them to share the stage at this point....Frankie has Survivor humming along right now, and believe me, as you will see has his ducks in a row...and JP and JJ have their own thing going, while it's not Survivor, and never will be, it is a good "Vehicle" for both of them....
My 2 cents....
