Jimi Jamison--The new record scenario

Postby theforce3 » Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:20 am

Ok guys just was thinking about Jimi's new record and that he has gotten back with JP. I think this is awesome news. What would you guys think if he went to JP for the songwriting and then went to FS for the production on the new album?
I am curious to see what people on the board would think.

Based on the production of Reach, I think we have been there and done this and the result was not good.

Wait until you hear the sound on this new record! Amaaaaazing.

Based on history I'd say that the only room Jimi would be happy to see sullivan is the one with padding. I think that after this last go around,The Beatles have a better chance to reunite then Jimi ever working with sullivan again.

What percentage did you give for production? I thought overall you gave it a 85%. :?:

Yes but REach wasn't written by JP. I really do like the JP sound he has for Jimi from what i have heard.

82 for sound...but that was generous I think. The main problem was an inconsistent sound. And inconsistent vocal and song quality. Neither will be a problem with the new release.

I see. It'll be interesting to see what will be the sales. If it tops 30k then Reach would be beaten

Did Reach do 30,000 units??? That seems very very high...I'll ask the label.
