There you go! :D

It is indeed a very emotional thing for me to see this. Especially when there is JJ with his hands around both Bickler and Jim Peterik. Excellent bulldog!

You know red...it reminds me a lot of a Sammy Hagar show i went to one time...

Well Michael Anthony comes out and joins the band...they start to jam on a song...

All the sudden Sammy stops and the music slows...he looks over one way...back at Anthony and over at the drums...

Turns back and faces Anthony and ask..."You know what's missing here Mikey?"

Michanel Anthony answers..."What's that Sammy?"

And the response from Sammy...

"Not a F@*king Thing...."

And they fire back into the song....

Don't know why that came to my mind...

That's how I felt about Mikey when I saw VH last week.

Dude, who notices a bass player? Their piping in BG vox, so who the hell cares? DLR and Eddie are the focus of the band. I think it's great that Eddie gets to play in a band with his kid.

Dude, i'm messing with ya...i just thought when sammy said that it was funny, plus i was making another point that I don't think is lost on red...

I saw Sammy on tour a couple of times...it rocks...

I saw Van Halen a couple of months ago and it rocked...it's so crazy how they really are different bands with those singers....

But I like both...i lean a little toward Hagar, because it's my generation or so to speak, but either way it's a kick ass rock show...

Interesting, was when i listened to a Cherone boot with VH...there was the versitility to sing any song, and it sounded pretty good. Short lived as it was.

I don't think it's lost on many of us? It was pretty obvious even from your first post.

I liked the Cherone era. Seriously.

Believe it or not, it was the first Van Halen concert I ever went to.

I saw Survivor at least a half a dozen times from '93 to '96 (I was at the LaGrange show). I've gone to all of Peterik's World Stage shows with the exception of one a few years ago. I've seen the Ides Of March a handful times through the years (first was when the opened up for Foreigner around '97-'98 I would say). I been to shows where Peterik has popped up (38 Special and the Night Ranger show last December come to mind). There were others as well. The coolest was probably the precursor to World Stage was a benefit Kevin Chalfant and him did in the late 90s. It used to be somewhere on the internet but I can't find it anymore. Trying to remember who they had: Kelly Keagy, Don Barnes, a guy from Shooting Star, and others who I can't recall right now.

I've only seen Survivor, once for sure, since Peterik left and that was at Loop Fest (radio station event) back in 2001(?). I don't think I've seen them since. I'd probably go see them again, I liked McAuley back in MSG.

I'm from Cleveland. Fortunately Survivor have played the Cleveland, Akron and Canton area a decent amount, so I've gotten to see them a lot more so than many of their other fans have.

And I got to see the Ides Of March in Akron 2 summers ago.

And Jimi Jamison's band has played here quite a few times over the years.

And I've gone to see Survivor in a couple of other states a few times.

I visited Chicago back in 1989. I found a record store at the time that I think might have been in Berwyn that had the last of the Ides Of March records that I still needed at the time to complete my collection. As it turned out, there were 2 different news paper clippings from a Chicago newspaper that were inside the record cover, they were reviews and interviews of the Ides Of March.

I stopped in a record store in Oak Park that was outside of a mall, and the woman working there said that Peterik lived near there and would occasionally stop in and talk with the employees.

Also, I figured it was a long shot, but I looked in the phone book to see if I could find a listing for a Jim or James Peterik. Obviously Jim and James are very common names, but I don't know that Peterik is very common?
I found one listing for a James Peterik in Berwyn. I drove over and found the house. But I didn't want to bother whoever was living there, so I didn't knock at the door or anything. I like Chicago, it's my favorite city outside of Ohio.

Where's the group pic of Sullivan with McAuley, Mephistopheles, and Charles Darwin?
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Good move, that's not Jim.

Would these three even be able to tour?? I would think that they would be able to take the Survivor name away from Sullivan, but here we go on the whole "SURVIVOR" name battle again...

I honestly don't care what they'd call themselves. If Dave and Jimi are on one CD together....let alone touring together...that is something I'd purchase in a heartbeat! And American Heartbeat at that...lol!!!! (There's my bit of cheese for ya for today!)
