FOUND IT!! Jamison's "Eye of the Tiger" Studio Tra

Postby venomnation » Mon Apr 21, 2008 7:47 am

I found that version of "Eye of the Tiger" with Jimi Jamison on Vocals (YES..The studio version)

I knew if I dug deep enough...(I was actually digging for my open skyz album for a venom nation request...and found this) It's actually off of an X-Box hockey game according to the folder I ripped it to - and it's last modified 06/2007 - so it's not THAT old...

Anyway, I know there was a lot of people wanting to hear it...so here you go - clean as day - MP3

:D I have owned that for quite some time .. I like that version . The music was a little different but very good.. It doesn't have that classic sound to it with or without Jimi on vocals .. The bass and the keyboards aren't as good . I welcome any Jimi Jamison vocals . Jimi seeme to have his voice back now .. From 2002-2006 he sounded a little rough .. He is awesome again though .. I would love Peterik and him to do Survivor classics acoustic.

Thank you for posting that!

But what's the deal with the info that it gives on Survivor?

If you download the song from that link, and then you play the song using Real Player, the info given at the bottom right corner says that "High On You" was Survivor's last hit before they faded away.

If I recall correctly "The Search Is Over" was released after "High On You," and "The Search Is Over" reached #4 on the Billboard Chart. Then "Burning Heart" reached #2 on Billboard, and "Is This Love" reached #9 on Billboard.

THe duet is awesome....i'm curious did you cut the vocals and lay them back down over the audio from the original or splice the song?

As for that JJ version, is that the same one you can get on itunes?

Venom,

You ever thought about going back in and doing a verse or so with the McAuley version as well? Have all three of them?

I'm not fan of McAuley, but it's great for comparison sake and pretty neat...

If you don't have that demo and would like it, let me know...
