New band name

Postby axecrew » Sun Aug 24, 2008 11:43 am

I was just thinking...since everyone has an opinion on mccauley.....what about a new name for the band? One that would make most happy....... What about.......ready.....here it comes now........

MSG

Mccauley
Sullivan
Group

Might catch flak from across the pond, but mikey might be too blitzed to notice. Not to mention it might go a long way towards satisfying the huge ego know as .....well....you know. Or would it be insisted that it be.....

Axe....

Definately before 5 years ago the ego was there....but the past 5 years the ego is gone....I have known him 20 plus years, and his ego as it relates to the other guys is nothing....I cannot tell you how laid back FS is now....a truly amazing difference than the FS of ole.....he is a great hang, and a great guy to be around....he really does not take himself as seriously as he once did, and has a great outlook on things....

Great post by the way...but I do believe you use OLD stories and OLD information in your opinion of Frank....

Joe...Glad you saw the post as it was, in jest and not serious. You are also correct that I am going on past experiences with the guy. Glad to hear that he no longer thinks he's the be all,end all.

As far as I am concerned, Frankie Sullivan shows he would fight TOOTH AND NAIL to keep Survivor going. For THAT as long as Frankie was to keep a band going, IT would have to SURVIVOR no more and no less.

Maybe we're a bit bored here and trying liven up the place, coming up with some names for the band, and that's okay. But if we're going to go serious, Survivor it should remain.

That's just me 8)

Amen. This is why I give FS so much credit as well. He has the passion to keep the brand name alive! Also he is willing to take the band anywhere as long as it's profitable. I love JP and his work but other than taking POL overseas he appears to be a regional performer. Or am I wrong here. JJ tours but it's pretty sporadic. I give FS kudos for keeping the Survivor name out there coast to coast. I just don't see the same passion by JP and JJ to take the Survivor legacy to masses like FS. It's just an observation. As Dennis Miller used to say: "I could be wrong."

We are getting really close...

I just posted a few NEW tunes up on the myspace....you can hear what Frankie and I have been up too....Did it for Love has the vocals REAL low.....this is for piracy reasons.....and the mix is rough.....but it gives you a vibe of the tune and Frankies vocal production on me......

Same with Ten Lifetimes......

Wire to Wire when done will rip your face off....

And You Made Me See is our one true ballad.....

Hope you enjoy........

Santa Ana thanks for paying tribute to what I consider the most underrated song in the entire Survivor catalogue. I've always said Santa Ana winds is to Survivor what Hotel Callifornia is to the Eagles. It's just a great moody, atmospheric song that sends a chill up your spine. Frankies guitar work is killler; Bickler is at the top of his game!
