SECOND Jamison/Peterik CD... is it going to be country?!

"Here ya go, a couple of songs off my new cd Crossroads Moment on Frontiers Records to be released Nov 7th ... you can preorder if you'd like...... hope you like it , I'd really appreciate your support.

Jimi

PS
Sound of Home is not on the new cd.... It will be on the next one next year.

Jimi Jamison"

... Does this mean the 'next' CD is going to pick up on the 'country' sessions that the two began working on?

Andrew - please could you clarify this when you speak to them?

No offense to either of them, but I hope not! The Survivor meets Pride of Lions sound to the Crossroads Moments samples sounds absolutely awesome and if the album meets expectations, I'd love to hear a follow up in the same style.

BTW, I can only see one new song on JJ's myspace (Love the World Away) - are there meant to be two?

I didn't even know that they were already going to do another album after CM.

But please for the love of God no, don't go in a country direction!

Aw, well I know I'm getting ahead of myself (not having heard Crossroads Moment in full yet) but I hope they indulge us and do a proper rock sequel as well as the country album! Either that or work up those unreleased songs from the sessions into a bonus disc or EP?

Hurry up November 7th! Haven't been anticipating an album this much for ages!

Can anyone speed up time please? Cheers!

- Danny.

If it's a country album, I would bet Mike Aquino will have a big role in the CD.

I could be wrong, but there is no mention that the "next CD" has Jim Peterik involved. Maybe he will carry this song from their collaboration and work with someone else, especially since this one sounds like it might be country. Jimi could be hooking up with someone very involved in the Country scene. Hey, what about Dan Huff?!?!!?

So if I understand correctly, they already recorded 2 different albums? One is Rock and one is Country?

I really hope that not every Rock band is gonna think they have to make Country albums or individual songs now just because Country seems to be so popular. :x

Country music bores me to tears. That is except when it flat out makes me want to jab out my ear drums with and ice pick.

Jimi is such a phenomenal singer and Jim is such a phenomenal songwriter that I'm sure it will be FAR, FAR better than most Country music. But it's still disappointing to me that instead of 2 great Rock albums, we will get 1 great Rock album and likely a so-so album.

Sorry Jimi and Jim, I am blown-away by the talent that you both have, and your 2 of the nicest guys in the music business, but I can't get excited about a Country album. On the other hand I'm extremely excited to get the new Rock album.

Mike plays the guitars on ALL of Jim's releases....including POL, Lifeforce, World Stage, Jimi J....and of course was my guitarist on the first Mecca.....JP was smart enough to see what I knew all along, he is a great player...and a REALLLY good Jazz player....I can hear it on the Lifeforce stuff I have heard....that is defianately 80 to 90 percent Mikey.....

He is a great guy and a great player....and has a really cool wife too....good to have a great woman behind ya in this industry....

But isn't country more of Aquino's speciality. I know he can play everything but isn't that his roots...or no? I thought he did a solo country record a couple of years ago.

When I first came across Mike he was a guitar teacher at a Local store.....he bacame my guitar teacher as I wanted some more music theory to help with songwriting as I am self taught....he was a country player AND a blues player....BUT he has a degree from Roosevelt deeply rooted in Jazz.....he SHOULD do a Jazz album, besides the Lifeforce album, of his own material...I would buy that one in a second.....then I hooked him up with JP and the rest is history...great fit for JP, Mike can play any style.....

And a great fucking dude....
