OT: Mutt Lange takes on Nickelback

Strange, an 80's icon producer worked on this new Nickelback song "Gotta Be Somebody"

Imagine if he would consider Survivor. Sigh.

Do you want Survivor to sound like Shania Twain? Or Def Leppard?

(And he worked on the entire Nickleback CD. WHo knew Nickleback could sell-out MORE??)

It only happens when the band allows itself to be retooled in the producers image.....it is very much up to the artist....that being said I dig the tune more than the other Nickelback stuff so far.....

Just me.....

Well then Bryan Adams and Shania must have laid down....
(Well, I guess we KNOW that Shania did...  )

I admit that "Back In Black" does not sound like 'Mutt Lange ft. AC/DC'.

The only way that would happen is if Survivor would re-unite.

Right now there just isn't enough Survivor in SURVIVOR. Anyway you get the picture.

Yes, but even when Survivor was so called Survivor  , they couldn't get Mutt. He was booked 6 years in advance  So said Frankie when I asked him 10 years back (about getting Mutt for THTS).

We didn't need Mutt. We had Frankie and Peterik.

That is true!

I think that today a re-united Survivor could easily get an album into the Top 50. Look the other artists that are doing great on the charts this year:

Rick Springfield - #28, highest chart position since 1985
Alice Cooper - #53, highest chart position since 1991

If it's with Peterik and with Jamison and/or Bichler, it is somewhat possible. Top 100 is more likely. Top 50 would be very difficult unless they somehow get an exclusive deal which I don't see happening. If we could go back in time, it would've helped to get a song on Rocky VI.

P.S. Weatherman is your name Bill Ayers?
