Concert

On another note, I had the chance to catch John Waite, Lou Graham, Eddie Money and Rick Sprinfield in concert in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago.

Waite was really good. Didn't play long enough and I would have used some old Bad English in the set list for sure.

Graham as good, but probably not as good as the current Foreigner lineup that I saw a few months ago...

Money still gets it done....Awesome performer...

and Springfield, well he's a little into himself for me. Plus, he was over and hour and a half coming out....I mean, I would wait in the day until 11 pm for Axl and the Gunners to start, but Rick Springfield in 2008...nope...

He still sounded good though and looks the same as always....

Hi Cheryl. When did you see him in Atlanta? When I spoke to him in late March he looked great and put on a hell of a show!

Whenever I've seen him, he's always made self-deprecating jokes about his looks on stage and always alludes to his extracurricular activities as taking their toll on his looks. It's really funny the way he puts things. But yea, it is sad how he is looking these days. But he sounds great, has plenty of energy, and seems happy doing what he's doing, so I don't feel too bad for him at all.

I don't feel bad either. He seems very happy. He's working on a country album and a musical.

I've always enjoyed money in concert...he has a great list of songs to sing...and he's a riot...the slow motion dance moves that he puts on are awesome...i think that he knows how to joke about himself, but make no mistake he's one of the all-time legends...is there a better song than "I Wanna Go Back?".....

I can listen to his stuff, close my eyes and i'm in jr. high again....same with Vital Signs...I remember buying that album, the store i bought it in, opening it, taking it home....funny thing is the guy at the store told me not to buy it, he said it 'sucked'....if i had not been 80 lbs and in the seventh grade, i would have had to kick his a#$ for that...and by the way, boy was he wrong....that album is a classic.

My college roommate freshman year thought it was Journey when I first played it.

VS or Eddie? I assume you mean VS....

To be honest, I never really got it all. Fact is I flat enjoyed Survivor more than Journey and it just baffles me that we are all in such a minority...

As I said, I watched the '93 LaGrange show again last night and that band just flat out rocks...if i had a time machine, I would just as soon see the original Survivor as anyone that ever played...

actually I need to correct myself, that wasn't the last time, I saw him here at a casino after the Atlanta show, that was with Survivor, with jj, Loverboy and Eddie Money, maybe he was just having a bad hair day....lol....no seriously, I hope he is ok and I've actually thought that no matter what he looks like, his shows are always worth the $....he rocks.

God I love the bridge in I Wanna Go Back... the band backs off, the guitar just plays that little staccato pattern and Eddie sings over it before the band kicks back in. That plus the sax solo make the song for me

I rank them pretty much even, as my screen name would suggest. :D

As far as I am concerned Journey I think are most accesible but for that special feeling it would always be Survivor. I heard Dave's voice first before Perry so..... 8)
