Thanks for the setlist. I was wondering what they had been playing this year. Sorry to see no major surprises. Any mention from the band about a new CD or anything?

Thanks,
Mike

Why don't they bust out a "Didn't Know It Was Love" or "Oceans" or go back to the early cuts like "Whole Town's Talkin" or "Whatever It Takes?"

Do they always play this short of a set?

I don't have a problem with the songs so much, there should just be twice as many...

Big-time agreed.

Rockin Into The Night's horrendous, Poor Man's Son never gets rotated out and I'd 86 Somewhere In America too.

I hate Rockin, but I love Somewhere. Doubt Robin's very good on that one though, Dave owned that song.

Not a bad setlist, but my problem to is that Survivor was the Headliner and they played 11 songs?????? Sounds like a few long guitar solo's were thrown in.....my beef with Survivor concerts.

Thanks for the review Bomes.

Hopefully that the new album annoucement comes very soon.

Not to be nit picky but just to mention that "...the stage is set..." is from American Heartbeat rather than Popular Girl. :)

Is there anything sullivan doesn't take credit for with this band??? Good fucking god if Jim Peterik took a shit there's sullivan telling you that he gave him the taco that made it happen. Right sullivan...YOU are the one that gave .38 the song Rockin' that's why they called Peterik up and he wrote a ton of hits with them. Because you gave them that song....lose the ego !!

With respect to RITN (also the album title), that is the ONLY tune in that album that has Peterik and Sullivan involved; as far as writing credits go.

I don't think Gary Smith remembers he also had a hand in that song.

Frankie was also a co-writer on "Caught up in You"....and there is a whole story that goes along with it, but as far as who gave who Rockin' I have no idea, nor care...The Tiger story changes with time as well....I think they blend it to the audience in front of them....JP had some wonderful cowrites with them, and without his "influence" dare I say they NEVER would have been half as big...no knock on Don as he is a friend of mine, but as a chart successful band they needed JP's pop hooks....or better yet enjoyed great success from the fruits of JP and DB collaborations....and Jeff too...

And....until you have seen DB behind a piano by himself and singing.....whew....blew me away....

That be said, I really was into tunes like "Like No Other Night" and "Somebody Like You" .Both these tunes still get me emotional. Oh those were the days! And not forgetting "Teacher, Teacher" 8)
