If Robin and Frankie's joint project "Business as Usual" album is any indication it should make a lot of people happy. Also, it will be interesting to hear an album of brand new material instead of having Robin sing things not intended for his vocal style.
I really am looking forward to this new album and hope it brings Survivor back from the dark oasis of being "those guys who did eye of the tiger". Overall this band is the best and most true band out there in the melodic rock field today and I really hope this album can do this legendary band justice. I agree with most fans when they say that they hope the album doesn't have nearly as many ballads as "Reach" and rocks with the albums of Bickler and returns to the street sound.
Finally, all of the survivor lead-singers such as Bickler, Peterik and Jamison are the core of Survivor's singing sector however given Robin's track record of being more of hard rock than the patent "Survivor Sound" I really think that if this album can incorporate both "the Survivor sound" and equally mix it with Robin's style this may be the second wind that the band needs to return to the top and prove once again that they are the masters of melodic rock and could hold their own with most modern rock (which all sounds the same now).
So here’s to a new era of Survivor and here is to the band reclaiming their title and showing Journey who is the master in this league. Also, it would be to their advantage to release this album by walmart or another well known retailer other than Frontiers… EXPOSURE IS EVERYTHING!
Music is only Real if you can feel it...
