I know the audio isn't that great/balanced, but I'm surprised with how Jimi's voice sounds on this. I assume this is a limited stint performance-wise as opposed to full shows. Any other thoughts?

Agreed. More of this with Survivor would be a massive hit I think. Let them tour Europe I think they'll do well. I also thought of how the Scorpions did with a full orchestra and was reminded after watching this.
