It was 24 years ago today (10/3/1988) that Survivor released their "Too Hot To Sleep" album.

AND WE'VE GOTTEN ONE DAMN SURVIVOR ALBUM SINCE THEN :!:

Well, it didn't really suck...it was partially good!
Anyhow, we got "Fire makes steel: demos" which, at least for me, is like an official release, and stands among the best material the band have ever penned.

Too Hot To Sleep is easily among my favorite Survivor albums. I didn't care for it so much on my first listen, but it really, really grew on me.

same, at first I only liked the Vital Signs sounding didnt know it was love, desperate dreams and tell me im the one.
but most of it really grew on me, especially burning bridges.

exact opposite with when seconds count, loved it initially, now only can listen to a couple songs.

Agree with you on When Seconds Count. I think it sounds incredibly dated now. Although I do love Oceans. They went way too heavy on the keyboards on that album driving male fans away in droves!

In between we didn't just have "Fire makes steel demos" but also 2 brand new songs in the Greatest Hits compilation (1 great and 1 mediocre song..), don't forget that! :p

Yeah, I didn't forget about "You Know Who You Are" "Hungry Years" "Rockin' Into The Night" or the FMS bootleg. But my point is that we've only gotten one full-length studio album since THTS in 1988.
