What does it portend? Perhaps the cover art for a new, never to be released single? Their last update besides the latest tour update was September, so I hope we get something meaningful...

I'm expecting some sort of cryptic post from Frankie, in which he explains how he's all about "positive energy," and how "some people" (who shall remain nameless) are against that, and how "the truth will come out," and how Survivor is moving forward into exciting times (nothing specific will be mentioned. Ever.) That post will be the last we hear from Survivor for another 3 years.

Well, yeah, that. But also probably a cancellation of the shows that they just added to the schedule last week.

I read this post 10 minutes ago and haven't stopped laughing since. Anyone who has followed the band for years, knows this drill well by now. I hope Frankie proves me wrong. By all accounts he's a good dude, so talented, yet so perplexing.

Frankie Sullivan just announced his retirement from playing lead guitar in the band SURVIVOR. After years of heavy touring and his strenous involvement in writing and recording countless new songs for the band the mastermind decided it is time to step back and switch positions with drummer Marc Droubay. Among musicians it is well known that Marc Droubay has some the fastest fingers in the business and a deep passion for quick runs, artistic tappings and soulful bendings on the fretboard. While restructuring the band Sullivan made another bold move and approached former bass guitar player Stephan Ellis to take over lead vocals, while singer extraordinaire Jimi Jamison will deliver rich background vocals in the future. Sir Elton John could be convinced to add his skills on the keyboard for the upcoming world tour.
Sullivan mentions that these decisions provide a fantastic fresh vibe to the ambitions of all the involved artists. 'We are rising up and we will be back on the streets very soon and playing a city near you...". The first release of the restructured enterprise will be a selection of bluegrass recordings of their biggest hits. Sullivan explains how he got inspired to realize this - by many fans secretly awaited - courageous project: "You know, I love 'Pickin' on Def Leppard: A Bluegrass Tribute'. It is such an underrated masterpiece and I have always been known for challenging myself to the artistical limit. You can trust my gut feelings and they told me - after having had a fat burrito - that the fans needed and deserved this. Man, in the end it's all about the music and the vibes..."

It just occurred to me-- he's timing the site maintenance for April Fool's Day, isn't he? So he can post news about whatever he wants (new album! World tour! DVDs!), and then when nothing happens, he can just say, "Oh yeah, um, that was an April Fools joke. Haha."

Frankie is in a huff about something. Sounds to me like his controlling ways are conflicting with Jami again and we could have a hiatus or lineup change.

Guys! I am so damn excited about the new site!
I bet if we are lucky we can get a new graphic of a Tiger! I really bad band pic! And maybe...just maybe.....some cover art to a song or album that does not even exist!
Who knows, a section that does not up date all the concerts they don't play and some links to nonexistent social media!
