I know that there has been a lot of opinions/interest with the current line-up, so here is my take, from my 1st ever Survivor show.
SETLIST

*I added it to this website. Also, I saw the setlist on the stage and Somewhere In America & Poor Man's Son were printed but not played.
It was awesome to see Bickler AND Jamison together. All of the songs were sung ENTIRELY by their original singers, with Can't Give It Up & Eye Of The Tiger being exceptions.
Now the Survivor song, It's The Singer Not The Song, really sums up the night. Ironically, it was played. With all due respect to Bickler, Jamison stole the show. His voice was in top form and sounded exactly like the records. In contrast, most of Bickler's songs were down-tuned and he still did not have that OOMPH of Jamison's voice. (I don't know if this was due to years of less activity than Jamison, but it was very noticeable.) What saved Bickler's performances were the songs. But when Jamison WAILED on hits like High On You & I Can't Hold Back, it really proved....IT'S THE SINGER, NOT THE SONG! While I can understand his choice to down-tune Search Is Over, I can help but wonder if Jamison could have handled it in the original key. He went through the other songs really solidly. In a nutshell, the whole band sounded tightest with the Jamieson, Vital Signs era songs.
I love Bickler for this contributions to the band & an honored to have seen him with Survivor. But performing with Jimi is not doing him any justice. Unless he is really loving it, I would not be surprised if he leaves again soon.
Band interactions? Frankie definitely seemed like a grouchy, old curmudgeon who was running the show. Not much band interaction, especially with the singers, although Jamison did have a few smiles at Bickler & had fun with the audience for the last few songs.
ALSO, I agree! The guitar/drum jam needs to go! I figured, "How bad could it be?" It was tooo long & seemed sloppy/unplanned.
