There was at least one show that Sullivan was not able to play ( I think it was drug related, I can't remember for sure?) and they had David Carl fill in for Sullivan.

I had no idea FS had problems with drug...
maybe that is why Peterik is hinting at substance use within the band more than a few times in his biography? One is even led to thing that this might be the main reason why Survivor was so disfunctional

I was incorrectly thinking that his missing that one show was a drug issue.

I have heard many times though that he was, and possibly still is, on drugs.
