2. Bill Conti - "Going The Distance"
3. Survivor - "Fire Makes Steel"
4. Bill Conti - "Gonna Fly Now"
5. Survivor - "Reach"
6. Bill Conti - "The Final Bell"
7. John Cafferty - "Hearts On Fire"
8. Bill Conti - "Philadelphia Morning"

Hey, that's totally awsome. I'll believe it though whenever I get confirmation say from like Andrew or someone from the band. I wonder how they're going to do it though if it is real. I mean are they going to keep Jimi on vocals or have Robin record a new version? From what i've heard Robin is great on both of the tracks however, Jimi was the one who was the vocalist on Reach. It really dosnt matter to me as long as Frankie don't do it! lol He's great in the studio but not so much live.. Any thoughts or speculations?

Hmmmm, I think it is doubtful that both Survivor songs would make it.
Call me the skeptic I guess. ;)

I hope it's for real! I'm really wondering who they will use too, JJ or Robin. Who is Bill Conti?

Believe it when I see it.

Hearts On Fire? Why? That's what has me skeptical about Srvr's inclusion.

Seems like they're just Reaching (for lack of a better pun) for what they think may be on it.

Sly's keeping the sdtk info under good wraps, too.

I just don't see how you can have Rocky w/ out Srvr with both being functioning entities again. They would've been in 5 if they weren't broken up then...

If I'm not mistaken he's actually working with Frank Stalone. So we shall see.

I always thought the song "Measure of a Man" from the Rocky 5 soundtrack would have been great if done by Survivor. Wasn't a bad song even with Elton John singing it.

Those closing credits set to that song are AMAZING. the montage of clips from the entire series....classic. Best part of the whole film.

yeah, why is that, they would always play the good songs at the end of the movie, while everyone was walking out or they may have left already if the movie sucked. ex: moment of truth and karate kid. I'm not saying KK sucked, it was great, just survivor's song is at the end, where most people wouldn't hear it.

I talked to Frankie about moment of truth. He said don't get me started. I think that was a song written by bill conti.

Still a great tune.....1 of 2 reasons (the other being Hungry Years) I kept the '93 GH after getting Ultimates.

Hungry Years is the most underrated song. Like the blues guitar.

Who is Bill Conti???????? Are you serious????? :)

He wrote 'Moment of Truth' sung by...oh...who is that band again?...

He does movie soundtracks like the Karate Kid movies, every single Rocky movie, etc. He's also done many Academy Award shows.

If you were joking.

I hope that soundtrack line up is correct. It looks real. Bill Conti would definitely be involved.

Let's keep our fingers crossed :!:

Too much '80s keys but those chugging, climbing Frankie riffs in the middle of the song make it.

It's only a few seconds long, but totally cool.

Conti would be involved w/ the score but the reprisal of Hearts On Fire has my BS-o-meter twitching.
It looks like they've read that Reach and FMS may be included, but don't know, and then said "well, Rocky IV reprised Eye Of The Tiger at the beginning so maybe this one will reprise Hearts On Fire somewhere." The difference is 4 was only 3 years after 3. So reprising Eye worked.
Hearts, unless it's used in complete jest, would be a total anachronism in the new Rocky.

If you're gonna reuse something in jest/nostaligia have a scene w/ Stallone somewhere where Eye or Burning Heart comes on the radio for a few seconds.

I agree. I first saw MOT on Night Tracks. I remember saying who is the new lead singer. I remember hating it at first because it was such a departure from CITG. CITG is my favorite album. Anyway the song grew on me. It's a little to over the top 80's for me. Like JOPA I dig Frankies riff in the song. Why don't people understand when I say its Frankies guitar that I feel is the Survivor sound. Now only if we could get Peterik back on keys.

I think bands today all sound alike. Like you really don't have to know how to play guitar these days to be in a band, just hit it as hard as you can and make some noise. Frankie has a unique sound, I hear it and think Survivor, he has a signature sound. Just like Neal Schon, he has a sig sound, and it's Journey. Without him, Journey would not be journey, MHO. Same with Tom Scholz, without him, Boston would not have that unique sound. Reo is not the same to me without Gary Richrath. Dave Almato trys to simulate Gary, but I can hear the difference.

I think Survivor sounds like a new band since Robin has taken over. That boot from Kansas City sounds great. Frankie's mic is turned up too high but overall what a performance.

You gotta realize that "our" music doesn't sell anymore. If Sly wants to sell copies of the soundtrack, he needs fresh faces and rap...

Sad but true.

Not so fast. Rocky Balbao is retro. It's not for the FAST AND THE FURIOUS CROWD. Survivor fits that audience. By the way Journey and Def Leppard are packing them in. There would be a demand. Also Rocky 5 soundtrack had rap. Guess what? It was hardly a best seller.
