Does anyone know what's happened to Jimi's website: http://www.jimijamison.com/

It's been down for weeks.

DAMN!!!!!

I do webdesign. I maintain www.montyclift.com -- I should probably take over the reins of jj.com. I wonder who owns the domain and if I could buy it off them? Let me know, if you know silvergirl.

Well according to the WHOiS database, it expires in Oct 2007. Perhaps I can buy it then.

Or I can buy jimijamison.ca or .org or something like that.

Silvergirl, you are killing me with the mysteriousness!!!

Why does Jimi need a website? He has a myspace site? Listen I like Jamo. What gives you guys the impression I do not? I just think Frankie should get his due! He is the sound of Survivor.

The myspace sites are more popular anyway and are more updated it seems than the official sites.

Thank you. MySpace SUCKS. I can't stand it. It's hard to navigate and just messy and amateur.

I'll definitely consider starting up a jimijamison.net, but I will need content for it, and I'm not sure where I'd get that.

well, maybe when you see him at the show and you get a chance to meet him, you can tell him you want to do a website for him and see if he'll give you content for it? Just an idea.

ROFLMAO That's presuming I don't fall over myself just barely mouthing the words "I LOVE YOU JIMI" before I hyperventilate.

You are mistaking me for someone who can pull off grace under fire. ROFLMAO!

Dude you are making me laugh out loud here. I'm at work by the way, stuck at my desk because I just dropped off my car to get my new swanky $1000 Alpine stereo installed. I'm so excited I could burst. I finally decided, fuckit, I like my music loud. I'm sick of being able to hear my passenger speak when I've got the music playing. HAHAHAHA Yes, it's worth it.

Kay. I'm going to get a grip and try and think of a pitch to throw at Jamo to see if he wants me to webmaster his site for him. HAHAHAHA

I'll third that. One of the most un-user friendly places.

Okay, I just bought and paid for two years of jimijamison.net and I also put jimijamison.com on backorder which means the second it becomes available, I get it. That was $20 and the .net was $10. Not bad not bad. Now I have to find some webspace for it (I have tons) and find some time to throw up a fan page. Hmmm.

YEP.

I was obsessed with Montgomery Clift for years and I still own and (halfassed) maintain montyclift.com. HAHA!

It's actually really easy to do, and it's better that fans own the sites than the alternative. Rick Mercer, a Canadian comedian had a HILARIOUS piece on his show (and also in his blog) about a Conservative politician by the name of Jason Kenney. To make a long story short, Kenney mocked a politician who did not own the rights to his own name plus .com and said you'd be an idiot not to. Mercer discovered that jasonkenney.org was available, bought it quickly, and redirected it to a Gay Pride site. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO funny. Even Jason Kenney himself had to laugh and admitted he was an idiot for not buying it after publicly mocking someone else for not doing so.

Hell, I own JoPavlov.com. I bought that up soon after Mercer's report. HAHAHA!
