Robin is lead vocalist of Survivor, long live Survivor!

I can't wait for Survivor to come playing in Europe, and if something serious doesn't prevent me, I'd go see them playing in Austria. I hope they would play extended set, and I'd be happy to hear couple of Robin's MSG hits if they would play them too.

My Survivor stats:

I have ALL Survivor albums and like both of Survivor's ex-vocalists (Dave Bickler and Jimi Jamison).

I've heard couple of Survivor songs rerecorded with Robin McAuley and support him totally as new voice of Survivor.

I have ALL MSG's studio albums with Robin McAuley and like them very much. The same goes for Robin's killer ballad Teach Me How To Dream from If Looks Could Kill soundtrack I've bought recently...

Can't wait to hear new Survivor's album with Robin McAuley on vocals.

Can't wait to hear new solo album from Jimi Jamison.

Can't wait to hear new solo album from Dave Bickler.

Can't wait to hear new Pride Of Lions album.

I like some of songs on Survivor's last album Reach but don't think this album is in the same league as Vital Signs, When Seconds Count or Too Hot To Sleep.

I have Jimi Jamison's solo album Empires and consider it AOR masterpiece, in the same league with Vital Signs.

I have ALL Pride Of Lions albums with Jim Peterik and consider them also AOR masterpieces.

I have Eddie Money's Ready Eddie album with Frankie Sullivan on guitar and consider it the best Eddie Money album.

I have Cobra - First Strike (Jimi Jamison's pre-Survivor band), Jim Peterik's World Stage, Rock America and Above The Storm albums and love them all (especially Above The Storm).

I'm awaiting for Elements Of Friction album (less known killer AOR release with Robin's vocals and current Styx's bass player Ricky Phillips heavily involved) to arrive.

Don't have YET Jimi Jamison's When Love Comes Down album, Grand Prix's two albums with Robin, Far Corporation's two albums with Robin, MSG's album Unplugged Live, Robin McAuley's album Business As Usual (collaboration with Frankie Sullivan) and Demon Angels album with Robin, BUT hope to get them as soon as possible...

Long live Survivor, and all their current and ex-members!

I couldn't agree more. I wish all of them success. Contray to belief I think Jamo is a great vocalist. I just listened to Empires. Wow. I can't believe I never listened to it. And what can you say about Robin? I've played the hell out of the songs off Business As Usual. If this is the Survivor sound with Robin the new record will be worth the wait. And Dave? Damn I can't wait until he gets back in the studio and puts something out. Mr. Bickler rock needs you!

You bet! I like the spirit of this guy. Actually Maro, YOU ROCK! Welcome!

Its funny you mentioned Empires Slander. I also for the first time listened to it as much as I hate admitting, but the tune Dream Too Far is quite a dandy. I kinda like it. Although its strange to hear the word REACH! Hmmm. Wonder if it was a Sullivan/Peterik tune to begin with? I know Jamo used another Survivor tune that didn't see the light of day and what came out of it was the tune EMPIRES.

DTF would be MUCH better if FS played guitar.

Empires is a great album, I wish Jimi had made When Love Comes Down more like it.
Since I had already heard Empires before Survivor ever released "Reach" it stood out to me the first time I heard the song "Reach" that it was reminding me of when Jimi sings the word REACH in A Dream To Far since it's sung so similarly.

To me the song "Give Me The Word" sounds like it would have fit right in with Jimi's songs "Run From The Thunder" "First Day Of Love" and "A Dream To Far." I know that Jimi had a bigger part in the writing of the song "Give Me The Word" than he did many of the other songs off of Reach.

I wish that "Reach" would have been a little more Similar to Empires.

Don´t like "When love comes down" so much, maybe 2-3 Tracks. But "Empires" is definately a great one.

Thank You, Marcel. :D

Speaking about Dream Too Far... for me it's most memorable Jimi's solo song... even more than Baywatch theme... I like this song soo much... Don't know if Frankie could improve it, Chris Adamson did a good job on Empires album...

Good thing about Jimi being solo now is that he could play Empires songs live again... I doubt Survivor played any of it...

Ufff, I still don't have my copy of Business As Usual... I'm soo curious how it sounds...
In the meantime, there's a copy of Elements Of Friction heading my way... Yessss...

I actually preferred them live than the studio versions on parasdiseartists. I hope to hear a better quailty production. FMS kicks ass with Robin on vocals. There is no question.

What's this about studio versions of those Survivor songs with Robin on lead vocals???

Anyone know how I can get my hands on a copy of those songs???

On that note....I've heard that there is a studio version of "I Don't" with Dave Bickler on vocals, is this true?

hey thanks survivorfan! This one is better http://youtube.com/watch?v=0ilNSL6PEW4

Dave looks great! I'd rather see him sing real songs but just seeing him happy and he's actually more famous now than ever!!! I love my man Dave:)

if you look to the right, snakepliskynn has all kinds of vids with Dave in them..... Real men of genius but at least we now know where dave is.....on tour with Pete Stacker. I'd rather see him on tour with a band, but he's making loads of money now...........lets here it for DAVE!!!!!!!

The dates are still actual on http://www.rom-music.de/
They've even added the links of the locations. But you're right: On http://www.rock-army.de/festival.html it is mentioned that the Europe-Tour is displaced because of individual reasons! (The other sites I haven't yet checked).

Here's the german text from this site:

SURVIVOR musste die Europa-Tournee aus persönlichen Gründen leider auf das Frühjahr 2008 verschieben. Bereits gekaufte Eintrittskarten behalten für den Ausweichtermin Ihre Gültigkeit oder können für die Veranstaltung am 14.September mit THE SWEET genutzt werden.

They were suppose to be in German in mid September. It was on Pollstar.com along with a date in Rome but all of those have been pulled. Maybe Slander has some info.
