New JJ Interview

Postby Andrew » Mon Dec 03, 2007 11:06 pm

Coming up this week....not done by me, but rather a long time reader who covered JJ & JP in Belgium for me.

I was very unhappy with the last JJ interview I did, but Jimi wasn't willing to talk much. Since his departure from Survivor, he talks a lot more. This will be interesting!

WOW! I was glad to hear that. Something told me Frankie was like that from his 30 minute guitar solos. Nobody does that this day and age and more importantly no one wants to hear them. It is all about ego. People in bands need to be aware that bands are the some of all parts.

That's interesting, when FS in Survivor's 2nd performance with Robin, tells the crowd "they left me all alone (to do the solo), it was terrible" (not exactly verbatim but close enough). Strange.

Yes.

And the Frankie Stepford damage control spinners are cracking their knuckles.

Don't you think it was far more expansive than his 1-word-answer Reach interview with MR.com?

The milk Jamison spilled in this interview hand't been spilled yet, at least nowhere NEAR to the extent it was here.

And when the Frankie one came up a little while ago where he ripped Jamison the Frankie sycophants were giggling.

Andrew normally I wouldn't ask you do do anything but I think it's only fair to get a comment from FS. If JJ's interview were just about music that would be one thing but this was a personal attack against Frankie Sullivan. In fairness to the board will you ask for a response? At least it would be balanced. Do I believe FS has an ego? Yes. Do I believe in some way his is come controlling demon? No.

Hey Red,

I'm not giggling. I'm laughing my ass off at JJ. He makes a fool out himself. JJ doesn't need a microphone. He needs a rattle and a high chair. Poor JJ the victim. What the hell kind of businessman is this guy? Living on his credit cards? Sorry the woe is me crap doesn't fly. I love how JJ doesn't take responsibilty for anything.

Didn't a get a CENT from the making of Reach, AND paid for all his expenses and travel to the tune of 3k to make sure the album got made.

If what he says is true than the disgrace is his stupidity as a businessman.

Red,

Why is it it JJ never takes responsibility for anything? Why? Is he an infant? Is he incapable of handling his business affairs? Great vocalist but a crappy businessman. JJ wasn't forced to go back to Survivor. He wasn't forced to make Reach. We all have choices to make in life Red. Sorry JJ makes crappy choices.

I found the interview to be more of a RANT. I think it's only fair for Andrew to contact Survivors accountant, Marc Droubay, and Frankie Sullivan. Let me ask a question? If what JJ says is true why isn't he suing? Damn sounds like an open and shut case.

,,,only pays longtime member and top drawer rock drummer Marc Droubay $350 per show and then turns gigs down repeatedly.

Disgraceful.

Red keeping drinking the JJ cool aid. This was an immature rant by a pissed off artist. Let me ask you a question Red. Where's the lawsuit? If all of this is true why doesn't baby Jamison sue? If what FS and his account did was so egregious why doesn't baby Jamison sue? Why? Maybe it's utter bullshit. Why didn't JJ get anything on paper 50/50. I want to see evidence before making judgements. Was JJ forced to go back to Survivor? No. Was JJ forced to make Reach? No. JJ had choices. You mean to tell me JJ put up with this for 6 years? Nonsense. Get the facts before popping off red. Reserve judgement until the whole story comes out. Oh yeah JJ was also a real class act by trashing Droubay too.

 JJ wasn't forced to make Reach so therefore it's OK for him not to be paid? :!: :?: :!: :?:

"where's the lawsuit?" you ask?
Hey, maybe he's not as litigious as Sullivan who sues people anytime the word "Survivor" is uttered or written.

The lawsuit would have nothing to do with the name Red. It's about getting paid what you are owed. If he was owed what he says he's owed where's the lawsuit. If JJ wasn't paid for Reach why isn't he suing? Surely there was something on paper. I like how at least you don't dispute that even if JJ's allegations are true than that makes him a crappy businessman. I want a response from FS accountant, FS, and Droubay. I hope JJ feels a lot better now. Damn it must have been a tough 6 years chained and held prisoner in Frankie's basement. What a tale indeed. A story of brain washing. Damn JJ thinks he's Patty Hearst.

And perhaps Andrew could get that rebuttal you've been demanding from the guy Jamison claims is the second-best guitarist in Survivor.
That is, if the number he told Andrew to call him at at the end of his Reach interview handn't been disconnected 2 weeks later when JJ's ouster from Survivor broke.

That's what I figured Red. You have no answer to why JJ doesn't sue. You have no answer as to why JJ would stay 6 years if the conditions were so unbearable. All you can do now is trash Frankie's guitar playing. What a joke. I hope JJ has great success with his new record. Let hope this time he get his cut, so he doesn't have to live on his credit cards anymore. What a joke.

My God, all those lies about all-NEW songs and no leftovers from the mid-90s for us, NO sir and what do they do?

Use those songs Sullivan said they weren't going to because he procrastinated and they HAD to deliver the record at the last minute.

Like I said. Poor JJ. He's an infant. He's a child. He has no responsibility. It's get friggin' old Red. Did he have to stay in Survivor? No. Did he have to make Reach? No. I also laugh because when REACH came out everyone was raving on the board about how great it was. I for one was not a huge fan of the record. It was okay but you guys started trashing REACH after JJ left. You loved the record when it came out.

I still like Reach, but that doesn't mean sullivan didn't lie about the promised album being all new songs.

Marc Droubay had to go to Jamison to try and ask for more $ because the trademark owner of Survivor claimed that he suddenly was NOT the one making the calls on him being paid only $350 per show, instead threw Jamison under the bus

Jesus, Mary and JOSEPH!!!!!

That's actually gross.

Red keep drinking from your sippy cup. I think its kind of sad how you approve of his trashing of everyone. Why doesn't JJ sue? It's really really simple. If what FS did was so egregious why doesn't baby JJ sue? Also why doesn't Droubay leave? Marc's a talented guy. Or are you going to trash him now too. If what Jamison says is true he is not a good businessman. He should get on the phone with some lawyers and collect his earnings. Hell if JJ is living on his credit cards than maybe he might get a fan who's an attorney to work per diem. Poor friggin JJ.
