 ...sad state of affairs that your first assumption is to rule out Survivor possibly playing and conclude it must be "Survivor."

I'm a new fan, too. Came of age in the 80s but was too busy listening to Thompson twins and crap like that at the time. LOL

I am an unabashed COMPLETE Jimi fan. I adore everything that man does.

That being said, I look at the Bickler years as a completely different band, and I love that Survivor too. I love "I'm Not That Man Anymore" and "The One That Really Matters" to the point where I had INTMA on repeat one day for about five hours. I'm not kidding. The caretaker at work thought I was stoned or something. I wasn't.

Maybe it's because I'm a thirty-something female who gets all mooney at how cute Jimi is, I don't know. I love his voice beyond words.

I think the songwriting is strong in both eras, and I love Frankie's guitar and Marc's drumming. I think those two drove the band while the vocalists created the magic. Who knows.

If I HAD to pick, I'd pick Jimi. But I love Dave too.

I like Dave, too but for my money Jamison's the best melodic rock singer ever.
