Hey Silver, Do you remember Eddie and The Tide or a band called Farenheit? They opened for Boston in 1986. OMG the memories. I actually was wearing white loafers back then! Someday those photos will turn up at the wrong time. :)

Where did you hear that? I really liked their sound. I can't remember their single though.

yeah..that was a strange deal...because the band didn't even exist when the song was No. 1...very good story and a great trivia question....

I played them on the radio in 1986 and I saw them open for Boston. I can't remember the damn single though. I don't think they ever broke top 40 though.

A classic! What about the group RED ROCKERS? Does anyone remember the song "CHINA" getting heavy airplay during the early 80's?

Got their first two cds on one cd. Great stuff. Actually upon being it I know 2 or 3 other songs.

Hey Rock,

Do you know what happened to RED ROCKERS?

The lead singer from the Red Rockers is in another band that is still around. They have had some success although I don’t know much about them. Here is his current bands website…….
http://www.cowboymouth.com/

Like I said I have a cd that has two most popular cds on it. It is really good if you can find it I recommend it. In the cd, there were some liner notes in it telling what happened to the band. I will try to find it when I get home. There were a lot of lineup changes and I think they just called it quits. The singer also talks that there was a lot of partying going on in the band….too much drugs.

Here is a Red Rockers Website.

Eddie and the Tide, another great band. I have the cassette of their first cd. I know they eventually came out with a second album. I just wish I could find the first album on cd. Eddie and the Tide were really the first band to win a rock in roll reality show. MTV used to have a show were people votes on which unsigned band was the best. The winner got a recording contract. The song Runnin' Wild, Runnin' Free was the one that got them the victory as they played the video on the show each week.

When I recently sat down with Eddie Money we talked about his producing the record. He's really proud of it. It is a great sound! One In A Million is awesome. I'm glad others remember this great bay area band.

What was the name of that band that did the song from Rocky III? Man, that was one rocking song! I wonder if they ever had another hit...

What about the Divinyls - I Touch Myself! Best masterbatory one-hit wonder!

Eddie was really mellow. Reflective. Here's my interview http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ih78D-7jNTQ

This coming from the guy who thinks Frankie "One Album in 20 years" Sullivan is a straightforward, honest, likable guy who keeps his fans adequately appraised of "Survivor" news.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Not a very good hair color on Eddie. Looks fake. Might as well buy a wig.

Hey 7. I'm glad you are posting again. One of the things I have been critical about is the horrible way Survivor keeps their fans updated. I have said in the past that getting info out Survivor is like getting info out of the KREMLIN circa 1978!
