axecrew wrote:Good god here we go with the fucking balance again. It must be real tough to have that responsibility from Andrew to "maintain" balance. Get over yourself, you egotistical fucking prima donna. Balance.....yeah from the most unbalanced person on here....gimme a break.

As for the crickets chirping etc. comment in the other thread...I'll answer you and Vana in 1 fell swoop.....It doesn't matter how many.....he's written more than we all have combined.....we've written ZERO.....so he beat us all at age 19 with "Vehicle". Sorry it took me so long to answer your magesty but some of us have more to do the sit and read boards and decide who we are going to insult today.

Joe Vana....don't think I didn't forget about you and your cute little swipe. Not cool Joe. You were Jim's friend for years and now you take little swipes at him in your post...not cool at all. You know very well how many hits and #1's he's written and co-written,so don't act like you're clueless. You couldn't have been close to him and not know the info. You also know how many people in all styles of music have ask him to write with them, they do this for a reason. Get over whatever your problem with him is and move on.....stop the cute little swipes in your post and all the other coincidences......and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about,I won't bring them up here out of respect. Oh and slander since I know you have a comeback for what I just said......Go to hell!!!!

Hey Axe.....

Vehicle was a number #2.......

Swipes??? Nah....if I got something to say I come out and say it....as you know I am not a little guy afraid of getting my ass kicked hahahah so I have always been a straight shooter.....as you are on here....

I have no problem with you, or JP....but I will always say it as I see it....and if I have a problem with FS I would say that as well....but, in the past two years we have hung it has been great so no issues yet....and as far as JP and I well we could not have been any closer than we were.....he was great to me....nuff said....

Did I make a mistake putting up my review of the show????

I only wanted to give my take on my first Survivor show in years and all Hell breaks loose.....

JV that was exactly my point...you put that up and some of us just wanted to talk about it and Mr. Balance himself feels he has to come on here and disrupt the converstations and for some reason boldly defend Frankie Sullivan. I don't see where anyone on this post insulted FS....

Maybe you can calm him down JV, as he seems to respect you. And, yes, i was over the line in saying that he needs to go away, but I really feel it's getting to the point where everyone is afraid to post their feelings and thoughts based on wheter or not Slander might apporve or not. It's a damn shame when you have to question what you put up (a nice review with some good insight), because Slander finds a way to make it a flame war...

Am I off base here JV?

To even further my point a few of us on here got together to see if we just simply ignored Slander and refused to respont to anything he said, then maybe it would get better. It just got worse. I'm starting to think he's just the typical message board flammer. And that is a shame. I used to really like this board.

Thanks Axe....It is unfortunate all the back chatter which has nothing to do with the band or otherwise...I will continue to frequent the board, but I probably won't start a post again....

Have a Great one!!!

I've said this before about Droubay and this song.
His hard-hitting of the skins really makes this thing rock on the boots I have w/ Droubay playing it.

A criminally underatted guy in my book. I'm all about speed and power and Droubay's got them both in spades along with the requisite subtlety.

THe more i listen to burning bridges the more it impresses me. With Dave on it on the boots and JJ on the actual album. One of the best jobs of writing hooks the band ever did.

Meh. :|
He's just ok on it.
Nowhere NEAR as good as the originator of that vocal, Jamison.
Nowhere NEAR as good as Bickler covered it.
Both of whom were chased off by the "trademark owner."

BTW, what good is it to own a trademark to something that most people recognize OTHER artists who don't own the trademark as being MORE of the trademarked object than the treademarked object itself????
That's staggering to contemplate but such is the case.

Breaking news! This just in. Red disagrees. Robin kicks ass on this song especially live! I've been in the front row.

Oh my God...for real? You were actually on the front row? WOW...Must have been tough pushing through the three kids and the homeless lady to get all the way up there at a Survivor show...Are you actually for real? I'm beginning to think that you have to be putting us on. Nobody could be that...well never mind.

And if red doesn't like his version of a song, AGAIN Slander, that's why it's call and OPINION.

The funny thing about you is that if your GOD Frankie came out tomorrow and said, Robin's out of the band and he's a lowlife. You would trash him with all you have...

Eye merely pointing out that I saw Robin sing the song live. I think he bring unparalled intensity to it. Red may change his mind if he saw a live performance. By the way it was a nice crowd the night I saw them play. Actually I talked to the guy who managed the show and he said he had been trying to get the group for years. Guess you could say they are in demand.

Yeah, I read where Nikki Sixx had actually begged them to headline Cruefest this summer, but it was deemed that McMetal's voice was a bit to heavy for CrueFest, so Motley just headlined themselves...Meanwhile, there gig at Madison Square Garden fell through, but they were able to iron it out with the Wataguaca Falls City Fair Festival and Arts show in August.

Actually JV following the thread I'm not quite certain where things went astray. I echoed your sentiments. I think the current form of Survivor is great live. I think where things went off base for me is when axe claimed "who are we" to criticize JP after all the number 1's he's written. First I found the claim to be factual innacurate and secondly the Current form of Survivor is not only criticized on this message board but smeared. I have no criticisms of JP whatsoever but I disagree with axe that somehow he is above reproach...

My Gawd...LET IT GO...

He never said anyone was above approach...he simply said when you've been a successful as JP, then you have the right to play what you want. You are the one that keeps saying he's above anything....just let it go. Stop telling everyone what their opinion is. The problem with this thread, and 90 percent of them is that you insist of telling people what their opinion is and it has become a joke.

Nobody cares how you march....it's the fact you take exception and talk over everyone else's opinions here...then you twist facts, and simply ignore the facts when you are often proved incorrect or caught in an untruth....
