The new Foreigner is outstanding. Another example of updating the sound but not losing the essence of what is the group! Kelly is awesome on this album. I was such a huge fan of Lou too.
Kelly kicks ass man, but the new Foreigner record was too slow for me. I loved the title track, "In Pieces" and "When it Comes to Love," but outside of those three, I haven't really found many other songs endearing long-term and the album hasn't even been around that long yet. I was hoping for more rock since Kelly's a dyed-in-the-wool rocker.
Lonely, Give Me A Sign, Angel Tonight? You don't they rock?
Great Stuff. Then again, I'm a huge fan of INSIDE INFORMATION. Many don't like that record.
I do....love it!
And Lou's 2 solo records of the time and the Shadow King album. Agent is killer also.
I find Inside Information to be an album of extreme contrasts - when it's good it's fucking brilliant, when it's bad it's REALLY bad! I don't think the running order helps - to me, the best songs are on the second half.
Heart Turns to Stone is a good opener
Can't Wait - hard rocking, but doesn't do a lot for me.
Say You Will - one of the best two tracks on the album! Love this song!
I Don't Want to Live Without You - possibly one of the most bland, insipid ballads ever?!?! Bores me to tears!
Counting Every Minute - I also think of this as filler. An okay song, but it's obviously an album track.
Inside Information - This is more like it! Good song!
Beat of My Heart - Blends into some of the other mid-tempo rockers on the album IMO. There's not a lot between this, Can't Wait, And Counting Every Minute.
Face to Face - gets us back on track... not exceptional, but a promise of things to come.
Out of the Blue - Personally, my favourite track on the whole album. Absolutely stunning. I wish they'd play this live. My only criticism is that I think this would have been better as an album closer.
A Night to Remember - they've saved one of the best til last! Great song! Lou is brilliant!
